Historia
Sharing the stories of highly successful people with ADHD, Dr. Archer offers a vitally important and inspiring new way to recognize ADHD traits in oneself or in one's loved ones, and then leverage them to great advantage - without drugs. Grating robotic voice
Revisado: 12-12-23
I couldn't absorb the meaning because the machine-reading or machine-distorted reading is so distracting. The use of glottal stops is exaggerated and unrelenting. The failure to reduce unaccented vowels fits this narrstion puts this work into a kind of dialect known from sci fi movies and spoken by space aliens and robots from Central Casting. Unbearable.

Historia
The 12 Lays of Marie de France offer one of the most striking collections of short narrative poems of the 12th century - two centuries before Chaucer. Written in Anglo-French, they contain beguiling and entertaining stories of love and romance, of chivalry and adventure with sometimes even a magical twist. They are especially unique in early literature by being ascribed to a female poet, Marie de France: in the very first Lay - 'Guigemar' - is the introductory line: ‘Hear my Lords, what Marie says, who does not wish to be forgotten in her time.’

A treat!
Revisado: 01-28-22
Wonderful stories, exquisitely written and thrillingly read. If Georgina Sutton told me to go to hell, I'd feign deafness in hopes of getting to hear her say it again. I love her voice and delivery that much.

Give the listener a clue!
Revisado: 04-05-21
Alan Sklar's reading is superb.
A table of contents and a transcription of the complete texts appear as "Bonus Content" at the Tantor Media webpage for this book. Adding a mention of this material to Mr. Sklar's script could have saved us listeners considerable frustration. Is there any reason that Audible could not note, in its product description, the availability of this "Bonus Content"?

Historia
It was wonderful to be young and working on Wall Street in the 1980s - never had so many 24-year-olds made so much money in so little time. In this shrewd and wickedly funny audiobook, Michael Lewis describes an astonishing era and his own rake's progress through a powerful investment bank.

Abridgement
Revisado: 10-17-20
Closing credits point out that this is an abridgement. What is here is great: Michael Lewis is always good. I would feel better if it were either the full text or if the author himself had decided what to cut.
