Still enjoyable, for now

I enjoy this series still, but feel like it's easy to make a drinking game of the annoying parts. Take a drink when:

Loch gets angry at Cerie for not telling him something he considers important.

Loch stops listening to Cerie's information because he thinks it's unimportant or complicated.

Loch stops Cerie from giving information that may be important because it'd make his daughters sad.

Loch worries because he's "putting his daughters in danger" and then says how everyone else needs to fight and level.

Loch complains about being in charge, then is suspicious of anyone else who wants to lead.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the story and setting.

I like the fact that, so far, even though the MC is fairly powerful, he's not immediately going into OP loner mode. The only real annoyance is how much time is spent in his thoughts where it details how he's excessively panicking or over worrying on things to the point that it slows down the pace.

It's probably not as a bad an issue in written format, where it can be skimmed when annoying, but, minor spoiler, in situations like when he spends three minutes of audio book worrying over following his daughters into a dungeon when there is no narrative reason he wouldn't follow them at that point, it gets tedious.

It's the apocalypse, and decision paralysis is an expected thing at that point, but the amount of times he goes into excessive detail on it can bog down the story when it's read aloud.

What are great series !

Since about July 2020 I have been listening to books I have probably listen to well over 300 books sounds good and this is the best series I have read so far and this is only the 2nd book Great series!!

I love this series of books between a good guys and the bad guys I can't wait for the next ones to come out!! the narrator was fantastic great voices great job everybody all around!!!
