only made half way through book 1

It's the Holy Roman Empire in space and done badly at that. Then add in the MC that just comes off as an unlikeable douchebag and side characters that are so one dimensional that they make no sense whatsoever. It made this book completely unlistenable.

honestly ok but only 1 floor?

The book was ok for the most part but the whole book happens on 1 floor and HE DIDN'T EVEN FINISH IT. Really the colosseum took WAY too long as in about half the book, the other 3 felt about right in length tho so that's good .... and then we have no last dungeon? WTF!!? Feels like the final section got cut for length or something wasn't a cliffhanger or anything just "ok we're done".

If you one of the many who thought the last book drug a little (or not so little) then the first half is gonna feel the same way, to many details and matches described. Witch is what really makes the lack of finish a real kick in the nuts.

not much to say about the preference is was excellent not 1 thing to complain about.

while the book was well written and performed the whole book seemed like it was just a way to time skip again nothing really happened. oh and the cliffhanger really?! finally something is about to happen then bam the end

I can't stand the murder hobo MC

honestly the narration is good and the setting is unique. but the MC just won't shut up about the lack of mana and that gets old.
But the worst offense is the indiscriminate killing of everyone women and kids alike. I got to a little over half when he murders the enemy's daughter for the convince alone. As they already knew what he looked like there was no good reason to kill her but ya murder her for no reason instead of putting her back to sleep?
Until the guard tower I was kinda with him if there enemy's kill them but 1 guard was rough with a kid so kill everyone in the tower? Then add the daughter and I'm out. This will be one of my few half finished books I guess.

can AI not do math?

ok I really don't get what others are saying about bad narration it's actually pretty good to save for the "system" voice now that's just BAD.

Good story with a few... ok quite a few wrf moments where it was suddenly like the characters forgot what the did a chapter or 2 ago. That is until u reach the base segment and you get the author, Mc, and AI just being stupid.

First the AI math .... 27 points of life regened at 1 point every 5 min will take 10hrs....... ahhh no 10her=120 life points not 27. please for the love of God if ur going to put an AI in a story at least check the bloody math. then the author has the mc spend 9hrs sleep healing just 15 points and only an 1.5hrs for the other 11.... I know it's weird but it really threw me out of the story.

Second the Mc gets stone shaping and can't figure out how to take a shower? and it keeps going from there it's like he can't even use basic logic from this point forward. he gets OP powers and doesn't even unlock them all....and uses the ones he does unlock in beyond the dumbest ways possible.

I really liked the start of the book and the premise even the magic/tech dichotomy was kinda cool. But the last 10% of the book means I'll probably never pick up the next book. It was so bad I had to force the last hr just to finish.

really good book over all. well written and narrated but the cliffhanger is annoying. I really hate books that do this, and I'm not sure I'll b picking up the next because of it.

basically torture of teens and sidestories

ok so the book was ... ok save for 2 things.

one was the sections of the kidnapping/enslavement/ torture of a 16 year old girl in realitive detail.... almost stopped the book/series there but decided to fast-forward instead.... and they are not short sections.

the second thing was there was like 3 very short sections with the MC ... and that's all in the whole damn book. this whole book would've been better been put as a couple short stories and just put a couple mentions/ sections in the next main book.

omg the tangents this book takes at explaining every small detail at times are frustrating especially when it in the middle of frigging fights... just dead stip in the middle of a fight to explain exactly how/why every technique works/is blocked for 30 45 min at a time gets old FAST

but if you can zone out for those parts the actual story and narration are gooe

to it felt like we were seeing the BladeCenter universe after they met aliens and got access to a dream world it was actually way better than I thought it would be
