Interesting start and riveting middle with Pete in WW-II and surviving and fighting Japanese. Should have stopped there. The ending is just tough to get through and disappointing when you arrive - not my cup of tea.

Wow! This made me laugh out loud and made my heart smile as I thought back on the “old men” in my life who poured wisdom & a love for the outdoors into me. I celebrated them with each chapter.

Non-fiction - it ranks pretty high. Well written and performed. Keeps your attention interests throughout.

What was one of the most memorable moments of I Hike?

The several life and death decision points in the book and the thought processes behind them.

What does Lawton Grinter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Emotion in his voice - I always look for audio books read by the author - intangible something in their voice adds to the book every time.

Haven't read the print version, but doubt it could be more enjoyable.

Chapter on skunks - you could almost smell skunk in the air.

What about Carey Jones’s performance did you like?

Slow deliberate style with the Southern drawl this book demands.

Story of Bear # 75 - extraordinary efforts to relocate and save this remarkable bear.
