Historia
The streets of San Francisco would be lined with hardcovers if rare book expert Brooklyn Wainwright had her way. And her mentor wouldn't be lying in a pool of his own blood on the eve of a celebration for his latest book restoration. With his final breath he leaves Brooklyn a cryptic message, and gives her a priceless - and supposedly cursed - copy of Goethe's Faust for safekeeping.

This story was absolutely incredible! Just the right amount of everything. Bonus points for perfectly written and delivered bits of comedy!
I can see this becoming a book I read/listen to every year!

A confusing, but undeniably intriguing story
Revisado: 01-24-24
What intrigues me most about this story are the authors intentions. When considered, the intention behind certain structural or plot elements can change the meaning of the entire story. I could write a whole essay on how conflicted I felt reading this book, and the many theories I came up with while doing so, but I will simply say this: If We We’re Villains is not for everyone, but to anyone who enjoys thinking through the psychological aspects, I would say it is worth reading nonetheless. No matter what your opinion is of the plot, I think we can all gain a little perspective through this book. There are many hard hitting lines and recurring themes, and I think you will definitely learn something about yourself if you choose to dive into this story.

Amazing book and incredible storytelling!!
Revisado: 07-24-23
I’ve always loved this book series, and have reread/ listened to it more times than i can count. It’s just as incredible each time. I’m truly amazed by the author’s ability to craft the narrative, and the detailed, well thought out plot carefully laid out throughout the story. I would recommend this book to any reader, and hope that they enjoy it as much as I did. Especially those who enjoy sarcasm as much as I do :)
I also loved the performance. I think the narrator did justice to the series.
