I'm struggling to find news about current events from the main stream media with the new administration. I found this channel while watching 5 minute news on YouTube and now I listen daily. the commentators provide information with facts unlike other news sources. in addition, they cover issues from several different points of view.

Historia
When he was 19, James Stark was considered to be one of the greatest natural magicians, a reputation that got him demon-snatched and sent downtown - to Hell - where he survived as a gladiator, a sideshow freak entertaining Satan's fallen angels. That was 11 years ago. Now, the hitman who goes only by Stark has escaped and is back in L.A. Armed with a fortune-telling coin, a black bone knife, and an infernal key, Stark is determined to destroy the magic circle.

To Hell and back..
Revisado: 07-20-18
I believe this is audio book 250 for me, so it’s hard to be surprised at anything I tend to spend my credits on. In this book I was surprised, delighted and captivated. I tend to adore anti-hero types; ones with bad attitudes and a streak of rebellion, but still trying do some greater good. This book fits the bill very nicely. The plot line is very original, the characters are well developed, and the gore plus humor is done well. After spending over a decade in hell, our anti-hero finds a way to return to earth to avenge his time “downtown”. However, he finds himself unable to fulfill his need for revenge because he’s too busy getting side tracked hunting monsters, watching old horror movies, and spending time with a severed head. I highly recommend this series for those of you who are fans of urban fantasy, but are tired of the same old vampire and witch story.

Historia
Alex Verus is part of a world hidden in plain sight, running a magic shop in London. And while Alex's own powers aren't as showy as some mages, he does have the advantage of foreseeing the possible future-allowing him to pull off operations that have a million-to-one-chance of success. But when Alex is approached by multiple factions to crack open a relic from a long-ago mage war, he knows that whatever's inside must be beyond powerful.

Really Unoriginal...
Revisado: 09-27-15
I am a super fan of the Dresden files and found this series thinking it would be similar, but not the same. To be honest, with no spoilers, it has been done before, and to be honest better. It's a good story and the main character is very likable.. BUT he might as well be Harry Dresden with a British accent, just change the names. If you have never read The Dresden files, this would be a great series. If you have read it, it's hard not to think of these books as a bit of a knock off. I even gave the series a chance and went for book two. It was sadly as I thought. I say either pick Alex or pick Harry, but you really can't have both and feel okay about it.

Historia
Felix Castor has reluctantly returned to exorcism after the case of the Bonnington Archive ghost convinced him that he really can do some good with his abilities ("good," of course, being a relative term when dealing with the undead). But his friend, Rafi, is still possessed; the succubus Ajulutsikael (Juliet to her friends) still technically has a contract on him; and he's still dirt poor.

Felix Castor is Back!
Revisado: 10-26-14
I can’t say enough about this series. A sarcastic self-serving exorcist with a shady past and a truck load of baggage, how could you not want to listen? Felix continues on his adventures with new allies and new problems. He always appears to be one step closer to solving the mystery, until a plot twist just throws it all to pieces. These books are well written, exciting, and captures the attention. I almost listen to the entire thing throughout one day. I highly recommend this series.

It's been done better.
Revisado: 10-26-14
I bought this book one sale, so I can't be too disappointed. However, the story line, though okay, was basically a Dresdin File with Harry's little brother. In addition, the main character had very little depth and it was difficult to become emotionally attached to anyone in this book. The story line was haphazard and didn't make a lot of sense at times.. like why the eyes? I get there was a spell gone badly, but it didn't make a lot of sense why he would do it in the first place. The narration was okay if you take out the female voices. Which were reminiscent of a deep voiced male cross dresser. If you’re interested in this type of book, pick up the Felix Castor series or the Dresdin files, it will be more satisfying. All in all, I felt this book shared a lot of common with several other books in the urban fantasy genre. It has been done before, and to be perfectly honest, with no disrespect to the author, it has been done better.

Historia
Felix Castor used to cast out demons for a living, and London was his stomping ground. But in a time when the supernatural realm is in upheaval and spilling over into the mundane world of the living, his skills are in renewed demand. With old debts to pay, Castor is left with no choice but to accept one final, well-paying assignment: a seemingly simple exorcism.

Wait, Wait.. it's good..
Revisado: 09-20-14
I picked this up on a deal, and was pleasantly surprised to find it worth the money. With the books main focus being only one character, it is difficult not to give a spoiler or rewrite the synopsis. What I can tell you is that Felix Castor is a well developed character with a salty disposition and a tinge of guilt. Although not in the forefront, the supporting characters are also eccentric and interesting. I like ghost stories, and this book certainly provides more than enough ghosts and scares throughout it. The narrator provides a perfect reading of the material and character voices. So basically, if you like humorous situations and characters, mixed with crime investigation and ghost stories, this is a great book for you. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well.. Okay then
Revisado: 09-20-14
I have to admit I couldn't wait for this book to come out.. I love the series and the narrator (Except for book 8). I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the final chapter of the Rachel Morgan saga. I'll start off by saying yes, Rachel does find herself in trouble more often than not, and she can be snotty and self-centered; but this book brought it to the forefront and smacked you in the face with it. In this book, Rachel was constantly running out the door with no logical plan and then whining about the events that occurred because of her choices. Although this type of behavior is not unusual for the character, it isn't generally typical. If you've ever seen the TV show "Lost", then you will be able to see connections between that and Rachel's determination to run back into the jungle for no apparent reason. Finally, the ending was not much different than almost any female protagonist story. I believe Ms. Harrison is a wonderful writes, but I think I expected more from the ending of such a wonderful story line.

Intense and Extreme Battles and Heroics
Revisado: 07-25-14
The Tower Lord is a fantastic sequel to the Blood Song! The characters are well developed, the environment is easy to imagine, and the plot continues to thicken. Although in my first review I was amazed that I was so taken by a book without magic. However, there were glints of magic undertakings in the first book I chose to take as secondary to the story. In this story the magic becomes more widely spread and the purpose of it is both for good an evil. The battles are fantastic and each character finds their way through a heroic journey to conquer the enemy. I would say this is a must listen to for paranormal and fantasy fans alike. I'm careful where I spend my credits, and this was a credit well spent.

Thought Provoking and Captivating
Revisado: 06-08-14
I really wasn’t sure about this novel at first since I listen to mostly romantic fantasy filled with magic and otherworldly creatures. However, from the beginning of this novel I was captivated by the narrator and the story of a young boy enveloped into his path to become a warrior. The plot is fantastic and the descriptions of the realm, the battles, and the environments are easy to visualize. The characters are thought provoking and interesting, while the politics and intrigue are captivating. I highly recommend this book, and hopefully soon the series.

I love this series!
Revisado: 05-30-14
I can't say enough about the books in this series thus far. The adventures are imaginative and the lead character is amazingly brilliant. My only.. And I mean only issue with this series is that it isn't finished on audiobook. I want to know what happens next, and to be honest I've never been to good at a regular book.
