Historia
Generation versus generation, traditional versus contemporary, these men are about to learn a lesson in architecture and love. Can they prove that the old and new can be the perfect design? A successful New York architect, Thomas Elkin almost has it all. Coming out as gay and ending his marriage before his 40th birthday, he needed to start living his life. Now, four years later, with his relationship with his son back on track, and after a few short-lived romances, this esteemed traditional draftsman thinks he knows everything about architecture, about life.

swoony series
Revisado: 08-16-24
The first book in the Thomas Elkin series introduces the main and supporting characters and ends in an HFN place, making us want more!
I love NR Walker's books, and this is one of her
best works. The whole series is great, each book has a main focus that evolves with the story and makes perfect sense. Tom & Cooper are both great characters and their story is so swoony
Nick J Russo does an excellent job in bringing life to these guys, I loved the performance

perfect ending
Revisado: 08-16-24
The perfect conclusion to the series!
Cooper & Tom are amazing, both in their own way, and I loved to see them growing closer and falling in love since book 1.
And the audio was great. I love Nick J Russo and his voice range. Tom's voice was dreamy, so sexy.

Historia
My whole world changed with one roadside bomb and an honorable discharge. Not even the city I used to love can ease the restlessness inside me. I don’t expect visiting my cousin Sienna’s farm to do the trick, either, but the change of scenery can’t hurt. Wyoming isn’t what I expected - from the mischievous pig following me around, to the rescue horse I’ve become strangely fascinated with. And then, there’s Kerry, the handsome, brooding cowboy, who somehow calms the storm inside me - and just happens to be Sienna’s ex-husband.

5 solid stars. This story was entertaining, easy to listen to and the perfect balance between sweet and emotional. I loved the setting, the animals, the kid...

Jaded cop Vic D'Amato saw something supernatural he couldn't explain during a shootout several years ago in Pittsburgh and relocated to Myrtle Beach to leave the past behind, still skeptical about the paranormal. But when the search for a serial killer hits a dead end, Vic battles his skepticism to ask Simon for help.

nice paranormal romance
Revisado: 07-28-24
Really nice story, low angst and fast paced. The mystery is okay.
I like that both MCs have their flaws and insecurities, so they are on even ground. It was insta-lust, and the way it was done was very nice. But considering their backgrounds, I thought it should have been more of a slow burn instead of them falling so fast.
Great narrator who made the characters come to life. Loved him.

beautiful
Revisado: 07-09-24
I wish I could rate this book with more than 5 stars because it deserves at least 10. What a beautiful emotional story! Both MCs are going through so much at that point in their lives, struggling every day to just keep going. When they meet for the first time, it seems impossible for them to have any kind of romantic relationship, so they agree to only
spend time together and fulfill their need for human contact and nothing else, no strings, no pressures, no promises.
A beautiful journey towards acceptance, resignation, self-knowledge, and ultimately love.
Contains themes of ED, low self-esteem, injury,
chronic pain, toxic parent, depression.

Historia
Kelly Cannon is satisfied with his life. He has friends, a wonderful family, and a great job. But his love life has reached a new level of pitiful. Why? Well, his heart decided to break all the rules. Don't fall in love with a straight guy. And definitely don't fall in love with your best friend. NFL standout Britton "Blue" Montgomery has pressure coming at him from all sides. When Kelly admits he's in love with Blue, bonds are tested, and Blue has to decide what's really important.

love the narrators
Revisado: 11-22-23
Great tropes: sports romance, jock x nerd, best friends to lovers, slow burn, oblivious MC.
I love SE Harmon's sense of humor and sarcasm. It was the best part of this book! Kelly was so likable, all the time making sarcastic comments and jokes. Blue was ok too, not so funny and not so likable, he was too self-absorbed, not simply oblivious. He took Kelly for granted a lot of times and needed to be called on his fault to finally realize what he wanted. (this is not why I gave it 3 stars, I totally get Blue's character acting like this to fit the story).
This was a good book, I enjoyed it a lot. I had the audio version and the narrators were great! It helped me realize that I prefer to have 2 narrators when the story is first person and dual POV.
But a few things didn't work for me in this story (be aware of spoilers here):
- the MCs seemed 19 instead of 29/30. They were so immature and had very bad communication skills. They just sounded much younger than they really were. Had it been a book about college MCs, it would have been perfect.
- it made no sense at all that Kelly was still in the closet. At that age, having a steady job, and especially because he had amazing parents and sister.
- Kelly didn't strike me as a pushover, so I can't understand why he was with Robert for so long.

Historia
Tomasz has been in love with Nik for as long as he can remember. Nik is gorgeous, intelligent, and sexy, and even Tomasz's parents like him. He's perfect for Tomasz, and Tomasz is perfect for him. Their love is meant to be and will be epic enough to make angels weep. There's only one problem. Tomasz is just a teenager, and Nik is a decade older. And Tomasz is college-bound for a university halfway across the country. And Nik sees Tomasz as only a kid.

Not what I was expecting
Revisado: 12-21-22
Audio performance: 5 stars. I always love everything Michael F. narrates. His voice is a delight and he can pull off all kinds of accents.
**Warning of spoilers**
I'm one of those people who read all sorts of things they would never approve of in real life and Forbidden Romance + Age Gap is my favorite trope combination! Unfortunately, I couldn't root for the main couple at all this time. Many things tasted bitter in this story. For one, an 18-year-old boy should never have to be a grown man's emotional support. Tomasz was too young to bear the weight of dealing with serious trauma, let alone learn how to inflict pain (something he didn't enjoy) to give his partner the release he needed. To make things worse, his parents and brother didn't mind at all that he was giving so much up to support Nik, it didn't seem to be an issue to them. So, that really bothered me, among other things.
On the other hand, I really enjoyed the first few chapters, when Tomasz was still pursuing Nik. His wit and good humor were adorable, and Nick trying to resist temptation and be respectful of the family who cared so much for him was great to see. At that point, I was expecting to fall in love with the couple.

Historia
Renowned psychiatrist Dr. Cyrus Irvine takes his job and his life very seriously. He is well-respected in his field and has worked hard to get where he is. But he’s lonely. When called in to evaluate a murder suspect, the last person he expects to find is the man he slept with a few months ago. The man who ghosted him and wounded his fragile heart. Ethically, he should turn around and walk away, but he doesn’t. For as much as Cyrus understands the human brain, he can’t understand the pull he feels toward the patient.

Great book
Revisado: 08-04-22
Great mystery with a surprising plot twist and amazing narration by Nick J Russo.
Cyrus and River are not likable characters at first, but as the story develops, we start to understand them better and root for them. By the end, I was so anxious to see them finally find their happy ending.
Lost a star for some OTT situations, like River being all charming and sexy while running from the police. Okay, I know it's a book and not real life, but it was too much sometimes.

Historia
Meeting at a bachelor auction for charity had trouble written all over it as far as I was concerned, especially when the guy that won the bid for me seemed to be after only one thing...a good time between the sheets. Refusing Fletcher’s advances was easy the first time round. After all, we weren’t meant to see each other again. Except I’ve just moved to Stillwater where Fletcher lives. Except both our kids are in the same class. Now the kids are fighting and I’m ready to throw my own punches. If only Fletcher wasn’t as goddamn irresistible as he is irritating.

not for me
Revisado: 07-14-22
It was supposed to be enemies to Lovers, but honestly, there was no reason for these guys to dislike each other in the first place. The animosity between them was a strech, and not convincing.
I didn't relate or care for either MC. Their behavior was all the time either immature or unrealistic.
Also, there are too many side characters, sometimes all in the same scene, and it was confusing to keep up to. Add that to all the silly drama happening, and I was quickly distracted and not interested to see what would happen to the main couple.
John Solo does a great job with all those different voices all in the same scene. He brings the characters to life without being too over the top. I only wish he wouldn't whisper so low sometimes, but it happens a lot less in this story than in others that he narrated.
