Jonathan Cahn has an amazing ability to weave ancient history, Biblical history, prophesy, and modern-day events to a very readable and understandable narrative. This is a fascinating book that explain the history of the ancient pagan origins of the of abortions, child sacrifice, and alternate sexualities, including homosexuality, transgenderism and beyond. The book explains insight why these practices were rare for almost 2000 years, and suddenly returned and spread throughout the world. The return of the Gods, Baal, Mullock, and the goddess Ishtar, explains how these ancient gods are still having a profound effect on today's culture.

"The Return of the Gods" contrasts the Christian world view with the pagan world view. It is a challenge to Christians to be aware of what we are battling. Ultimately, it is a very hopeful book, Lord, give us eyes to see and ears to hear and hearts to understand.

Merry Christmas Hamish!

I'm a huge fan of the Hamish Macbeth series. I have read them all. This one is not really part of the series and can be read as a stand-alone. That said, to know the backstory on the colorful cast of characters does add a lot of depth. Either way it is a great book to curl up in front of the fireplace and listen to a Scottish Highland Christmas mystery. Enjoy!

My Go To Book

I can't even tell you how many times I've listened this book, the whole series really. I leave them on my phone and when ever I'm waiting in a doctor's office or in most any line, need a pleasant companion on a trip or just can't sleep at night, I reach for this series. This "Rather Charming Invitation", is my favorite book in the series, as the characters have been perfected.

I was sad to hear that Katherine Kellgren passed away and the last of the series may not come out as an audio book. No one could match her, but I'd like to have the final installment as an audio book.

Don't Miss This One

I listen to over 100 audiobooks per year. my favorite genres being romance, especially romantic mysteries and crime stories. If you are like me and tired of the shallow, formulaic physical attraction and absurd miscommunication magically turning into true love and happily ever after, this book is for you.

"Negotiator" develops strong, and and interesting characters: and an exciting plot and sub plots with lots of suspense as well as deep family love and loyalty and a growing romance to hold the reader's attention. The book does NOT use profanity for shock value nor confuse sexual chemistry for deep. abiding love.

Kate's (police negotiator) and David's (FBI agent) love and romance develops out of respect and taking time to get to know the other person.

The addition of a spiritual aspect to the characters (both believers and non believers) adds a tremendous amount of depth to the story. It takes an honest look at the role faith plays in tumultuous times as well in every day life, without being preachy.

The narrator is excellent. He has a wide range of voices and inflections to portray an array of emotions from tenderness, to frustration, to terror. He brings the story to life.

Regardless of your personal beliefs, this story is one of the most well written and compelling FBI and Chicago Police Department. crime stories I've read. It is anything but formulaic. "Negotiator" is well worth the credit, or an amazing read with Audible Escape.

The Narrator Makes the Book.

Kate Reading, the narrator takes a good book and makes it a great story. Her amazing use of different voices, timing, bantering and sometimes intense emotion was second to none. This is a MUST listen.

The story is quite light and fun with romance, and a colorful cast of heroes, villain's and reluctant family members. Very well done. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Fun Listen!

Maggie Carpenter has achieved the perfect balance between mystery, romance, erotic discipline, and steamy sex. The use of sound effects are really unique and I hope she uses them again in future stories. Rob Grove has some fun accents and is easy to listen to. I had trouble putting it down. Well worth the credit.

Fun, Lite, Sexy Romp

I really enjoyed this book. The plot held my interest without a lot of angst, and the characters were well developed and the spanking scenes were steamy. I gave the narrator 4 stars based on his excellent performance, but I will echo that his voice is more suited for an older role.
