Frustrating don’t waste the credit

I wonder sometimes if an author remembers what being a young adult was like or if the write the characters based on what they assume. The first book is so frustrating to listen to because me and my friends would have never reacted as the main character especially when the author is characterizing her as strong. I will return

I’m not sure if it is the narrator or the actual story that doesn’t have a nice flow. The dialogue and the characters action’s seem out of sync. I’m not impressed so far with the series

Awful narrators

Both female and male narrators are awful. The males voice is so nasally it is off putting and the female is so slow and the sound of her voice is grading

Frustrating

I really like this author but sometimes I dislike the stupidity of her heroines. Most women in love leap regardless of their past. But I guess she wouldn’t have a story with out the drama

Too wordy

I’m 5 hours into the story and the story line has gone nowhere. I’m disappointed in the reviews as so far there doesn’t seem to be any real plot

Awful narration

The worst narrator every. Poor choice ruined the book. Can’t stand to listen anymore. Ugh.

Cute

The story is good accept author has the heroine pregnancy symptoms ‘nausea’ starting at 3 weeks. Sorry but those symptoms do not start until 6-8 weeks. I hate when authors don’t research and an editor should have caught it

Not better storytelling than 1st book

So I had to skip through most of the first book just to get through it. The plot itself is good but there is a lot of redundancy in words and actions that i wonder if the author’s editor actually read the book. There are so many contradictions and repeats that I can only assume not.

Also the heroine’s childish tantrums and stupidity make the character no longer relatable .

Because I’m interested in the plot I listened to the second book but again had to skip through so much of the book just to get to the end.

In my opinion each book could be marginally shorter and be a better story.

Cute and corny

The story itself was cute but a little corny. I always enjoy a full cast or even a duet style audio but I have to say I did not like the theatrical version with the music and background noise. As others have commented and was more distracting than entertaining.

One character flaw

I enjoyed the overall story however the female heroine responses is not believable with her being a physiology major. With that knowledge she should have been more able to handle situations instead of acting like acts like a 12 year old. The author should have had her as a neuroscience major instead of a physiology major, and her character responses and behaviors would have been more inline.
