I did not like the heroine. The heroine was just stupid…..from beginning to end. I continued to read since it’s a book set. I do wish the author chose a different narrator. She’s not bad but could use work on her male narrator voice. Overall I love the story line. But I’m not buying the nakedness of the Mer. It just seems weird.

I liked all other books my this author. I hope to continue the series after this 4 pack.

I love the arrogance , strength and hardness of the hero and the budding inner strength and vulnerability of the heroine. Book 2 has the same ending as the first… the hero and heroine are out together, the hero asks the heroine to stay by his side and to trust him. But the first time the heroine ran from the Hero which was expected and an obvious reaction of the heroine. At the second outing, the heroine ran again, after a known lying ex lover lied to her though she admitted earlier in the chapter that she loved the hero. Her behavior contradicts the emotional growth shown from book one to book two. I hate it when authors have the heroines personality shift from strong and intelligent to weak and stupid. I read another series from Bella j and this did not happen. I won’t purchase the last book in this series because of this. Stupid heroine get on my nerves. Good luck and I hope you enjoy.

The performance from the male and female narrators was stellar.

It was difficult at first hearing voices of both Fiona and Elle switch back and forth but i got used it eventually. I loved the 2nd chance love and how both children, when grown, had the opportunity to “see” their beloved mother once again. This book pulls at your “heartstrings” and gives you all of the “feels”. As always, i love KA’s books and am also a fan of the narrator, AC. Have one more book in the series to read……cant wait.

Here is another well written story with instetesting characters and I cannot finish bc of the narration. She is bad, her inflections are off and I am now overly focused on every time she inhales, which is before, during and after each sentence, sometimes a few times each sentence depending on the number of times it’s separated by a comma. Please someone teach this narrator how to read properly without having to inhale every 6 words. Now I’m going to return this audiobook and purchase it elsewhere.

This story is filed with action. Magic, manipulation, intrigue and and and…. It’s soooo good. But I don’t care for the heroine and it’s the third book in this series. I have enjoyed Nevadas magical journey as she learns more about her her and her families magical powers and how they have grown. What I don’t like is her continual decisions based on emotions making her look weak as her powers grow stronger. She appears stupid, not strong as he makes decisions based on emotions rather than intuition and continues to emasculate Connor. I give the heroine 2 stars, one for existing and the other for her awesome power. I give the hero 5 stars bc he is a “dragon.”

Sooo, I read the first two books of this series and I liked them enough to move on to the third. But as I continued to listen, the heroine was like most heroines on other books, making snap designs about others without bothering to investigate. Making decisions about the hero based on ignorant info or no info. I’m done. She’s a moron and I hate books where the hero is chasing after a heroine too stupid enough to use common sense before making decisions.

Initially I thought the one thing this book needed was a male narrator …… oh how wrong I was. I am midway through book 2 and I can’t read anymore. I am disgusted by the hero I am disgusted by the heroine ……they are just both a piece of work.

The hero treats and the heroin like crap most of the time ….. he’s unfeeling, condescending, belittling and continually pacifies the heroine. he thinks very low of her and feels that he needs to control everything in her life. what he doesn’t need is a spouse or significant other, he needs a doormat because that’s the only thing that he’ll be able to have a relationship with. He has to be in control of everything. it is rare and then I truly hate a hero but I definitely hate this guy he’s a di*k and there’s no way around it.

The heroine is a different story I wanted to like her but she’s going through this crisis of discovering who she is … if she’s a submissive or not and unfortunately I think that a dictionary was not used when this book was being created because the heroine is in conflict with losing control or not having control over every aspect of her life. this book is confusing control with independence she’s losing her independence with the hero and her autonomy is slowly slipping away that’s not a relationship that’s just controlling and the way this book is going she will be dependent on him for everything that’s not a relationship it’s just horrible I don’t see how this will get any better how we can move away with the Herro being such a dick and the heroin being a mindless twit.

When your inter relationship trust is huge but the hero constantly tells the heroin that he she needs to trust him but he doesn’t trust her and he’s under the delusion that your past has no effect on your future and she just goes along with like the dumbass that she is One‘s past always has an effect on your future to what extent is the difference and the impact that it has on your relationship unfortunately this hero is just allowing everything that goes on in their relationship to be dictated by him and not giving her any credit I just can’t move on with this book with the arrow being such an absolute dickhead.

This is not a romance. This could easily pass for a kids cartoon made for 10 year olds. It’s stupid, silly, and the characters waste so much time talking about unnecessary things and around topics that nothing really is said. There is no logic, no intelligence, no critical thinking, no suspense, no adult anything. Is pretty shi*ty. This would make a great cartoon series. It’s beyond pathetic, and that’s just about the plot and writing style. Don’t waste your time in mess you want to read something along the level of how to train your dragon.

Stopped at chapter 24.

The heroine begins to date the hero and the asshole who treated her like crap in college runs into her. So why the F does she believe what this duche has to say about the hero? These types of romances drive me nuts. Why would anyone believe anything from someone they hate?!?! This is just another dumb romance about miscommunication and the issue between h & h could be resolved with a conversation. Anddddddd this behavior completely contradicts the personality the author is trying to convey for the heroine…….. an intelligent, independent, confident business woman. So now she is reduced to a dumb ass simpleton. I mean WTF!!!! Don’t waste your time

Narrators were awesome as always!!!!

This has the worst narrators. The male narrator is horrendous and reminds me of 11th grade English when the teacher made us read in class. He reads he is reading a textbook. Just bad. The female narrator is not as bad but her make voices sound like prepubescent teen boys
