A bore of a grind
Revisado: 12-17-24
Honestly I really enjoy the series and read it on RRl back in the day, but it was this volume that had me stop reading for a couple years. As soon as Jake got transported across the planet my dislike for this volume came right back. I almost felt like just jumping to the next book in the series to skip the whole annoying race back to Haven arc.

Enjoyable until the plot twist last chapter
Revisado: 11-13-24
Overall it was a decent book following the direction of Induction the first book. Our mc trains gets stronger and prepairs to help Earth survive the upcoming apocalypse while somewhat trying to still enjoy life on Earth. Then the last chapter happens. A very forced plot development that questions the sanity and or loyalty of each of Earth's Forrunners. Honestly it felt like the author was trying to tank their story down the drain by trying to shock the readers expectations of how the story might progress.

Decent but not amazing
Revisado: 06-09-23
Overall, the story is well written grammar wise. The characters are decent if not captivating in personality. The mc seems smart at moments and like a complete idiot at others. the world works for a book but I doubt anyone in real life would be willing to play a vr game where the producers of said game openly admits to editing and tampering with the minds and emotions of the players. Let alone a game that allows players to be beaten/tortured rather than outright killed. The fact that a rogue AI appears to have major control of the game and appears to be sadistic would not bode well for said games lifespan either. The only reason outside of realism that this game might seem addictively fun would be the system adjusting the players dopamine and other chemical processes.

Due to unusual circumstances, Randidly starts in an isolated dungeon far beyond his level, forced to rely on the mysterious Traveler Shal in order to learn and survive with the dangerous new status quo for his world. But survive he does, only to leave the dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. Randidly's capabilities are now more than enough to help build a small enclave of survivors, but that doesn't mean balancing his sense of responsibility against the plots of an unfriendly town will be easy.

A great online novel serial but a run on Novel
Revisado: 02-16-22
The problem here is not that the story is bad. In fact it is very much so a very popular web novel. For over 3 years it was ranked in the top 10 on RRL.com to the best of my memory. While some errors such as a typo or improper sentence structure occured occasionally online it was one of the cleanest self edditing jobs online period. Yet as a webnovel it is also by definition an episodic series of chapters that weave a larger story realeased one after another online. Emphasis on episodic. It was and is not written in the typical format you would find in a published and professionally edited story.
The pros of this is that it is similar to watching a series on Netflix one after another when physically read. you could read chapter after chapter until you caught up to the most current material which was over 1800+ chapters last I checked. So yes lots of content. Much like One Piece.
The cons is that as each chapter is an episode in itself an overarching cohesion is lost in novel format as it rambles from chapter to chapter with "filler episodes", different pov's, Random quests or goals, constantly newly added characters, etc. With many arcs both minor and major occurring on top of one another rather than one big clearly visible story arc . Also just like One Piece as it seriously is scheduled out to continue at minimum till 2030 at the earliest.
a small rant here sorry. This has been mostly confirmed in interviews the main author has given saying the story board for the end of the series and most major story lines till then, all in case his health takes a turn for the worse. Everything else we watch in between now and the end will be a mix of massive amounts of filler and a small hint of furtherance of the overarching plot here and there... Namely each islands story with about 4-8 episodes of actual plot content time wise has been prewritten and planned which will then be stretched for anywhere between 20-40 episodes by the producers per major island. While pure filler stories of one to an infinate episodes can be added in between major story arcs whenever desired.

Annoyingly idiotic cast
Revisado: 12-09-21
So you have a semi professional gamer of an mc in a guild of supposed idiots who want to rush through a game as fast as possible without looking at what is around them to uncover the necessarystepstogetwhere they need to be. Thus *forcing* the mc to rush when he'd rather explore a bit.. in fact I'd say that the pacing is entirely forced.. Then you some random stalker game moderator/admin with a hate on for the Mc and his guild. Which makes absolutely no sense what so ever... You mean with all the hard core gamer guilds and professional gamers playing the admin team around floor level 50 of 100 is intimidated by a team of four with less than a week of play time. Just because they beat one other game 100% on extreme difficulty. No... just no....

A rough 5-6 chapter beginning to a fun story
Revisado: 06-10-21
I admit the first five or so chapters were a drag for me when the F word was used every other sentence. I have always seen the overuse of such language as a poor understanding of how to express oneself or as a way to try and look cool by idiots who have no idea they really are making a fool of themselves. In literature it is even a worse offense.
After our two MC's teleported to the ten realms though, I found that such course language all but disappeared from the book entirely. Maybe appearing only another 3-4 times throughout the rest of the 18+ hour long reading.
Overall the story was enjoyable and I chose to purchase the second book.

Seriously not worth it
Revisado: 09-10-19
If this booklet wasn't free as one of the original options a few months back when nothing else looked worth trying, I would have never picked this up. I grabbed it understanding it as a feminist alternate historical fantasy, considering that was what the reviews and synopsis would lead you to believe. That's fine, after all many of my favorite books have female MC's or push an authors political agenda/ beliefs. Regardless at least the stories I enjoy typically have a well developed world, a good plot, and characters who I find myself loving. This short story is so underdeveloped that it is understandable how it was not pushed through a publishing house but self published.
