Historia
Dr. Greta Helsing has inherited the family's highly specialized and highly peculiar medical practice. She treats the undead for a host of ills - vocal strain in banshees, arthritis in barrow-wights, and entropy in mummies. It's a quiet, supernatural-adjacent life until a sect of murderous monks emerges, killing human and undead Londoners alike. As terror takes hold of the city, Greta must use her unusual skills to stop the cult if she hopes to save her practice - and her life.

Fascinating!

Arnold was contradiction! A hands-on war hero turned traitor when he didn't receive the adulation he desired. Without quarrel,, he was an arrogant cus! Some of his anger was justified when he didn't receive compensation or salary.
well written and well read. Give it a go!

Historia
Elizabeth Black is the headmistress of a girls' school in 1830s Victorian London. She is also a well-respected author of stories written both for and about the upper-class ladies of Victorian society. But by night, she writes very different kinds of stories - the Penny Dreadfuls that are all the rage among the working-class men. Under the pseudonym Charles King, Elizabeth has written about dashing heroes fighting supernatural threats, intelligent detectives solving grisly murders, and dangerous outlaws romancing helpless women.

Historia
The second crime novel by internationally best-selling writer Eoin Colfer is a gritty and utterly compelling follow-up to the critically acclaimed Plugged. In Screwed, Colfer adds an entirely new chapter to the adventures and misadventures of Daniel McEvoy, the down-on-his-luck Irish bouncer at a seedy New Jersey bar who, with the help of a motley crew of unlikely characters, solved a bizarre string of murders - including the one of the girl he loved. But people around him continue to die mysteriously, and Daniel is called into action once again.

Wonderful and Unique!
Revisado: 04-19-08
Without knowing much about the author, I bought this on chance. I quickly fell into the story. I bought the second and third books in the series while I was still on the first half of the first book.
The characters are rich and detailed. The relationship between Ari and Jenko is subtle but hilarious ... like an old married couople ... eventhough they're guys. Yelena is a strong and determined. Valek is quite the yummy contradiction. And I found myself moving between like and dislike for Cahill.
In short, it's a detailed twisting tale in a unique setting that left me wanting more.
