Historia
Olivia Andrews is locally famous for her blog and podcast, Forget Me Not: A Crime Victim’s Storyboard, which is dedicated to telling the stories of victims of crime. Now she has a stunning story to tell about a decades-old murder mystery involving a prominent citizen of Pecan Springs—someone who isn’t the man everybody thinks he is. But she is killed by a hit-and-run driver while she’s out jogging early one morning. Was it an accident—or something else? Her sister wants to know.

Another wonderful book, but…
Revisado: 05-11-24
Wittig Albert’s China Bayles books are always winners to this herb loving, retired attorney, and this one is no exception. This was the first one where I guessed the killer at the beginning, however, although I still enjoyed the ride!

I rarely give five star reviews, but I truly loved this book! It is not a thriller or a mystery, it is simply beautiful literature that was such a pleasant listen. I highly recommend it, if that’s your style, too.

Historia
Meggie Meyer, an anxiety-ridden debut author, can’t bear to face her upcoming book tour, but she can’t give up on her writing career just as it’s about to really begin. She comes up with a plan that’s so crazy, it just might work: She hires an actress to impersonate her for the two-week stint. Sloan Buchanan, the spunky aspiring actress, jumps at the opportunity to use her intensive acting method to sink into this unusual role, and the line between her and her character quickly begins to blur. And Rachel Drake, the no-nonsense detective, is left to put the pieces together.

Fabulous!!!
Revisado: 10-13-19
I loved every minute of this captivating mystery, and was quite tickled that I had so many theories of how it might end that none was a sure thing. I genuinely felt the emotions of the main characters because of the wonderful writing. I was truly in their skin! The author clearly did her research into both detective work and acting while also sharing her insights into the world of novel writing. I enjoyed the evolution of all of the relationships in the book, too, especially between the two detectives. Great character development all around! I lost sleep listening to this book because I had to know what happened. This was the first time I didn’t put a sleep timer on the book when I crawled into bed to listen to the last few chapters. I knew I couldn’t sleep until I finished it! The performers were three of my very favorite Audible narrators, and, as always, they did a marvelous job. I am a platinum Audible member, so I listen to their books daily, and this was one of my very favorites. Well done, Alex Kiester! I can’t wait until your next novel!

Historia
They came after the Diseray. Some were terrors ripped from our collective imaginations, remnants of every mythology across the world. And some were like nothing anyone had ever dreamed up, even in their worst nightmares. Now, the luckiest Cits live in enclosed communities, behind walls that keep them safe from the hideous monsters fighting to break through.

Interesting story awful performance
Revisado: 08-02-17
The story line and plot are interesting. The narration by Amy Landon is so bad I seriously wondered if it was being read by a computer. There was little difference in emotion whether the scene was a period of intense activity or just describing a building. Some narrators make listening more interesting than reading. Ms Landon is not one of them.
