I have listened to each of the books in this series and am never disappointed!!! Characters, both reoccurring and new to each story line are always interesting and never fail to add dimension to the story. Story lines are original and well thought out.Narrator is an excellent fit for the series. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Start with book one.

Too Predictable
Revisado: 06-06-24
I really enjoy the Heathcliff Lenox series by Ms. Menuhin but this series falls far short of the standard set by that series. If you like mysteries with lots of stereotyped characters, this is for you!! A grumpy detective, ladies drinking lots of tea and even a “little doggie” fill the chapters of this selection. Not an unpredictable happening in the entire story. Narrator does a decent job with what she has to work with but can’t save the mundane. I would highly recommend checking out the Heathcliff Lenox series or try some of the Josephine Tey mysteries…. You can’t go wrong!!

THE BEST!!!
Revisado: 06-05-24
Love this series!! Have thoroughly enjoyed each book. Easy to get lost in the story and narration but this one has the most twists and turns. Would highly recommend beginning with book one and continue to this installment. Story line is totally engaging and characters are well developed. Definitely not your typical post WWII English mystery fare.

Happy Christmas listen! Main character is ditzy and as likable as she could be. Narrator is absolutely perfect!! Unusual setting adds an interesting facet to the story. It is interesting that this book does not take itself too seriously…. It knows what it is… a light Christmas romance story.
