I appreciate the action steps and examples sighted to provide directions and recommendations for additional read or references.
I think books like these should be introduced to students in schools at an early age especially high school and college for better foundation. Many young people will not be so lost and many leaders would be more effective in leading if they start with Identity leadership.

I'm cross-eyed happy and can't even explain but I guess the words I can find for now is you rock goddess queen Ty Ty and mama Carolyn.

I remember when I was on your talk show years back in L.A. on stage with you and Nick Cannon and his team. I splashed water on your dress and you were not happy...#sowwy🙈. I was mortified. I could not believe that I was on your show standing next to you, that girl who was bullied for being ugly and fat with big boobs claves that I always had to hide in pants and socks every chance I got..

I was onTyra's show, Barely months after my fiance broke up with me because his sister and mother did not think I was beautiful or good enough for him. They wish they never did that now.
I was the model that was told to lose some weight even tho I had a fierce walk and high cheek bones that people raved about and I did the work but had no support like Mama Carolyn just me. Family all in Africa, I felt alone and gave up.

How ever, you made me feel like the woman God made me to be and not confirming to other people's idea of beauty and I have been helping other women feel the same ever since with my gift thanks to you.

I did not model much because I got confused but I was hired to train women on their walk at a few Miss Africa beauty pagents.

You live a beautiful "flawsome" life Ty Ty and inspire beautiful change in people you may not even know in a huge snowball effect.
Thank you. I laughed along as I read. It felt like my sister and I in the bedroom with digging in icecream and catching up lol.

A generous dive into 'CoryVille', a true leader

I read a lot, when I read some great books, I read them again like UNITED by Cory Booker.
Its like going deep into the truth of who Cory is and why he serves, pushing past the harsh realities of political slander to rooting for him to be the one who leads.

My dad told me, "The most endangered species in the world is a dedicated leader and if people cared to know more they will".

I am happy to buy and share copies with friends and family.
Here I cried, laughed, learned, connected with the pain of others that I could not comprehend or relate to, and I gained more perspective, hope and trust in a man I barely knew before I touched this book.

With such vulnerable valor, Cory shows you why, one person cannot do it alone. Why, it has to be a collective effort, standing behind one dedicated leader, with a voice and a vision that touches the heart and home of every American.

I wish every one would take the time to read it. It is so worth it.
Even if you do not want to vote for Cory (which I think you should :) ), you will certainly learn a few valuable lessons that will come in handy in your life somehow.
