Meh. Narrorators absolutely killed it. Story was boring and interactions were mostly cringe unless Harold was involved.

similia to the last book

Similiar style to the last book. The introduction and backgrounds of new characters. There a Yin and Yang approach to two characters and I am not sure how I feel about it. There is a character introduced towards the end of the book and the audio quality was noticeably poorer quality than that of other characters.

Interesting take on old idea

I was expecting more cosmic horror in this story but it's heavier on the sci-fi. I didn't like the end as all real military doctrine is thrown out for the last battle. I won't be buying further books in this series.

This one just wasn't for me

The story was slow for me. I never came to care about any of the characters as they all seemed flat. Additionally, there were no new ideas.
Kirt Graves is clear and articulate in the narration. Unfortunately, his narration for the main character Ox just grated on my nerves.

I wanted to like this one

I love the Unconventional Heroes series and wasn't very impressed with the first 2 books in The Attempted Vampirism Series. More time is spent talking about how great the world is and how everybody gets along. L.G. Estrella please do some character development. I made it 1/4 away through the book before I just had to stop. While this book isn't for me, maybe it's for you.
Joel Froomkin did an excellent job with the voices.

This one is slow and repetitive
