Excellent, Sweeping, Epic tale rooted in the history of South Africa
Revisado: 12-16-22
I was recommended this book by a friend and had no idea what it was about. It was a little slow for me at first and then drew me in. By the end, I didn’t want it to end.
I looked up Wilbur Smith and realized that this was only his first book in a spectacular writing career. We wrote over 40 books and over 20 of them were dedicated to this one fictional family’s story over centuries. I’m excited to read more of his works and learn about this important part of the world.
Highly Recommended!!

Historia
High conflict is what happens when discord distills into a good-versus-evil kind of feud, the kind with an us and a them. In this state, the brain behaves differently. We feel increasingly certain of our own superiority, and everything we do to try to end the conflict, usually makes it worse. Eventually, we can start to mimic the behavior of our adversaries, harming what we hold most dear. In this book, New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist Amanda Ripley investigates how good people get captured by high conflict—and how they break free.

Super Helpful Book on Conflict
Revisado: 11-28-22
I heard Amanda somewhere on the a internet and downloaded her book. I had forgotten about it till just before I had to handle some personal conflict. This book helped me understand what was really happening for me and others in this conflict. I feel better prepared to handle myself in challenging situations and notice how I can personally stay out of high conflict traps. Highly Recommended!

Revisado: 03-15-22
This book is inspiring. Gabe Brown’s journey of discovering how to farm ecologically is amazing. He describes that journey in great detail and with a lot of fun and humorous stories. I highly recommend it for anyone has an increase in the farm or as an interest in the soils on this planet.

Historia
We live in an extraordinary time. Technological advances are happening at a rate faster than our ability to understand them, and in a world that moves faster than we can imagine, we cannot afford to stand still. These advances bring efficiency and abundance - and they are profoundly deflationary. Our economic systems were built for a pre-technology era when labor and capital were inextricably linked - an era that counted on growth and inflation and an era where we made money from inefficiency.

Great book by someone who really knows bitcoin
Revisado: 05-09-21
This is a great book that expands upon ideas presented in the bitcoin standard. It’s written by a guy who is a minor and definitely knows the cryptocurrency space. My only issue with the book was that the audio quality is not that great. The narrator is fine, it just sounded like she was in a closet.

Historia
A million-copy seller, Henry Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson is a classic economic primer. But it is also much more, having become a fundamental influence on modern “libertarian” economics of the type espoused by Ron Paul and others. Called by H. L. Mencken “one of the few economists in history who could really write,” Henry Hazlitt achieved lasting fame for this brilliant but concise work.

An interesting breakdown of the absolute bones of economics
Revisado: 05-01-21
This book is a great breakdown of the absolute bones of economics. It is not a textbook or course, but more of a discourse from 1946 and revised in the 1970’s. The inflationary practices done at that time and feared by the author have gone wildly off the rails since then. It’s a great reminder that our current economic system is built on the most dangerous principles.
The repetitive language in this book and the readers tone of voice make this book difficult to listen too. It was often sleep inducing for me, even though I had an interest in learning the information.

One of the great thinkers of our time!
Revisado: 04-12-19
Dr. Jordan Peterson clearly and concisely lays down great wisdom on a very wide array of topics that are essential to the human experience. He tackles everything from personal existential crises, to interpersonal relationships, to the nature of governance, to political correctness, to the very nature of reality itself. He draws from ancient knowledge of celebrated philosophers as well as personal experience. He references the Bible as well and illuminates how it is relevant today, without being preachy. It’s rare to find such a sharp mind layout arguments so succinctly that they are undeniable. He stands on very firm ground throughout.
His passion and intended emphasis really comes through in the audiobook. I was able to digest these complex ideas more quickly and easily by listening to the author’s version of the book. This is a highly recommended read for anyone that cares about the course of their life.
