Historia
As the Great Rift tears the galaxy apart, portents and darkness beset Mephiston. At the time when he needs his psychic sight the most, the chief librarian's powers are rendered blind. Haunted by the ghosts of the damned, their purpose unclear, Mephiston takes his ship the Blood Oath and the Blood Angels in his charge to the world of Morsus, where he believes the source of his psychic blindness is to be found. But Morsus is embroiled in conflict too, a longstanding struggle between the Imperium and some of its most ancient foes called the Revenant Crusade.

Interesting story of Mephiston and his quest for regaining his Warp sight whilst battling Necrons.
Revisado: 12-31-24
The story is well written and the Necrons are an intriguing enemy. The finale is maybe a bit rushed, but leaves a very interesting cliffhanger.

Compelling and fast paced story
Revisado: 12-03-24
Very good reading, the story is packed with action and the first person bits from the point of view of Grimaldus allow for a great immersion in the defense of Hive Helsreach.

Historia
The Indomitus Crusade has brought the Emperor's vengeance to thousands of star systems. The fleets and armies under the leadership of Roboute Guilliman fight for the survival of humanity against the forces of the Chaos Gods. But the traitors and heretics are not the only foe looking to destroy the rule of Terra. Xenos prey on human worlds in numbers not seen for millennia. Worst amongst them are the rampaging orks, whose migration conquests threaten to reverse the many gains of Fleet Primus.

Interesting stories of characters in the Dawn of Fire setting, but lacking pace and consistency.
Revisado: 11-12-24
The book is enjoyable in some of its parts, but it suffers from a lack of action and events in the first half. It really takes too long to build up interesting stories and stakes for the characters. The positive aspect is that once everything is set up, the story flows interestingly. The end however feels rushed and may have benefitted of one or two more chapters to capitalize on the well developed character arcs.
