Great study for all women

Enjoyed this book very much, and the stories shared by the author as well as the discussion topics provided. went through this with a women's study group and we had lots of great conversation and sharing.

Enjoyable And Enlightening Study

This is my second Liz Curtis Higgs study, and I thoroughly enjoy her writing style. She has a way of humanizing those she's talking about, and helping us relate to Bible characters that we might see as unrelatable.
Although there are some situations and conversations that Liz takes liberty with, none are outside of scripture, nor do they compromise the integrity of Christ or biblical truth.
This is another great study offered by Higgs, centered around the life of both Ruth and Naomi and how we can learn from their story and rest in the promises of God that are still ours today.

Good reminders and challenges

We went through this book as a 6-week study with our church small group. At first it was difficult for me to see Jesus in the study, it seemed more of a motivational or self-help study. The questions for each section are extremely simple in fact they all but answer themselves, so this is not a difficult study. The concepts covered are all sound principles, and at the very basic level encourage an attitude of gratitude for all God has provided. I'm not sure I would recommend this as a study, but it's not a bad read.
