Historia
For much of the 20th and 21st centuries, women’s sexuality was an uncharted territory in science, studied far less frequently - and far less seriously - than its male counterpart. That is, until Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are, which used groundbreaking science and research to prove that the most important factor in creating and sustaining a sex life filled with confidence and joy is not what the parts are or how they’re organized but how you feel about them.

Usless!!!
Revisado: 03-04-21
This book is the equivalent of "Full story at 6:00" She is always telling you what she intends to tell you in chapter 5 or 6 etc. It is so repetitive, I thought something was wrong with my playback.
The new science as the title suggests just never really got there for me.

In this revelatory, authoritative portrait of Donald J. Trump and the toxic family that made him, Mary L. Everything you already knew but still......
Revisado: 01-25-21
Mary Trump has summed up everything we all already knew about Donald Trump but it was fascinating to hear her first-hand account of the evolution of his mental illness. There are many, many incredibly successful families in this world and most of the time, there seems to be some major disfunction within. The Trump's are a prime example of this and Mary's account of growing up in this family is both sad and enlightening.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

I really love Mathew McConaughey as an actor and I may love him even more as a writer. He's brilliant, the story is brilliant and I can't wait for his next chapter to show up on the page. He may just be our next Faulkner.

Historia
Woodward, the number-one international bestselling author of Fear: Trump in the White House, has uncovered the precise moment the president was warned that the Covid-19 epidemic would be the biggest national security threat to his presidency. In dramatic detail, Woodward takes readers into the Oval Office as Trump’s head pops up when he is told in January 2020 that the pandemic could reach the scale of the 1918 Spanish Flu that killed 675,000 Americans.

If you think you've heard it all, you haven't
Revisado: 10-26-20
Yes, it's all things you already know about this megalomaniac but it's so much more. Woodward is a genius to get Trump to tell him all these very private details but then again, when you are convinced you are God, you truly believe you will come out smelling like a rose no matter what. Well sorry Trump, you did not.

Historia
If there’s one trait that makes someone well-suited to comedy, it’s being able to take a punch - metaphorically and, occasionally, physically. Told with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, A Very Punchable Face reveals the brilliant mind behind some of the dumbest sketches on television, and lays bare the heart and humor of a hardworking guy - with a face you can’t help but want to punch.

Jost is so real!
Revisado: 10-26-20
With that perfect face and hair, you would expect a cleaned up memoir but no! I'm sure he didn't tell all but what he does divulge is pretty damn embarrassing. I have yet to read a behind the scenes, SNL memoir that disappointed and this one is no exception. This show is a gruelling life and it takes a toll on all who do it. Jost is coming to his end there and I am disappointed but he has so much more to give. Can we wish for a sitcom with him and Leslie Jones? Yes, please.

This hilarious book has been adapted especially for the audiobook edition so you’ll hear all of the same fun and humor from the printed version but you don’t have to make any decisions or jump around - just kick back, relax and listen. Plus, it features exclusive bonus audio of young Neil delivering an adorable speech! That’s audio you won’t hear in any version of this book other than the audiobook!

If you like a heartwarming story ( no drama here) then you will like this book. Neil’s performance is brilliant and his love story is uplifting. I’ve never seen an episode of how I meet your mother but maybe now, I’ll check it out.

John Hodgman - New York Times best-selling author, semifamous personality, deranged millionaire, increasingly elderly husband, father, and human of Earth - has written a memoir about his cursed travels through two wildernesses: from the woods of his home in Massachusetts, birthplace of rage, to his exile on the coast of Maine, so-called Vacationland, home to the most painful beaches on Earth.

Everything you want in a summer listen
Revisado: 08-12-20
John Hodgman is the kind of celebrity I always say is the best kind. He can probably go anywhere and not get hounded by fans but is still very successful. I was listening to this book as I was packing up my home of 35 years where we raised our children. His position of not making your home a graveyard was inspiring as I was trying to decide what to keep and what to trash.
This book was both funny and sad but, I felt refreshed when it was over.

And yet there are sides of Mel that no one has ever seen, or really known. Brutally Honest is an exposé of the struggles and acute pain that lay behind the glamour and success. With deep personal insight, remarkable frankness and Melanie’s trademark Yorkshire humour, this audiobook removes the mask of fame and reveals the mother, wife and daughter behind the Spice Girl everyone thinks they know.

Did anyone bother to edit this book?
Revisado: 08-03-20
First of all, this is a very important book for all women to listen to. It is a guide for how NOT to let yourself be controlled by a man. However, it is so poorly arranged and repetitive, I kept checking to see if I had accidentally skipped ahead or re-wound.
At first, I thought I'd give her a pass because she is open about her ADHD but then, you realize she had a professional writer write it for her!

Another example of the evil of some religions
Revisado: 07-20-20
I have read many books on Scientology and find the topic fascinating. It never ceases to amaze me how bright, talented people who are so successful in life get sucked into these cults. If you can't see through a religion that expects large payments for status in the church and come into your home at all hours begging for money, then maybe you deserve the loss of money and pride.
Also, I was confused as to why she refers to her girlfriend as Charlie when her real name is Tena Clark and like many readers, I am not convinced she was innocent of the Ponzi scheme but, she was blind to the misdeeds of Scientology so maybe she is just had her head in the sand.
All that said, the book is worth a read or a listen.

Historia
Joan Robinson Hill was a world-class equestrian, a glamorous member of Houston high society, and the wife of Dr. John Hill, a handsome and successful plastic surgeon. Her father, Ash Robinson, was a charismatic oil tycoon obsessed with making his daughter's every dream come true. Rich, attractive, and reckless, Joan was one of the most celebrated women in a town infatuated with money, power, and fame. Then one morning in 1969, she fell mysteriously ill. The sordid events that followed comprise "what may be the most compelling and complex case in crime annals" (Ann Rule, best-selling author of The Stranger Beside Me).

Very unsatisfactory ending
Revisado: 07-17-20
You would think after 21 hours, there would be some closure or clarification to what happened to the true mastermind behind the final killing. This book never explains why he was never charged in this case. You can assume money and power but this is never really explored. The narrator was so bland and matter of fact that it sounded more like a news report than a passionate true crime murder. I wouldn't wast a credit or your time.
