Historia
This book is about the great moral issues underlying many of the headline-making political controversies of our times. It is not a comforting book but a book about disturbing and dangerous trends. The Quest for Cosmic Justice shows how confused conceptions of justice end up promoting injustice, how confused conceptions of equality end up promoting inequality, and how the tyranny of social visions prevents many people from confronting the actual consequences of their own beliefs and policies.

Forgiving anyone in a meaningful way is one of the hardest things a person has to do. If you do not, resentment and vengeance begin to consume you. It is nearly impossible to move past transgression without forgiveness, but few people have the resources and the tools to forgive others fully and move on with their lives.

Historia
A movement called ‘deconstruction’ is sweeping through our churches and it is affecting our loved ones. It has disrupted, dismantled, and destroyed the faith of so many, and this book can help you not only understand what’s happening but also stand your ground and respond with clarity and confidence. In this seminal book, Alisa Childers, author of Another Gospel?, and Tim Barnett, creator of Red Pen Logic, will help you understand what deconstruction is, where it comes from, why it is compelling to some, and how it disorients the lives of so many.

A crucial book for this moment in history when many are publicly walking away from historical Christianity and trying to take others with them.

Historia
If you have suffered spiritual abuse from a toxic church, toxic organization, or toxic leader, your trust has been broken. You entrusted your life to someone you thought would care for you: someone who initially inspired you to know God, only to reject you in the end. Now you are left wounded and disillusioned, wondering if you can ever trust others, yourself, or possibly even God, again.

Content was good but it was hard to listen to. I also didn’t like positive references to guys like Richard Rohr and Henri Nouwen.

Eye Opening
Revisado: 03-05-24
I read this book to better acquaint myself with issues faced by female clients who are living in blended families. It provided much insight! My only complaint is the repeated reference to drinking as a coping method for burdened step moms. Given the number of women dealing with alcohol use disorder, I found it in poor taste to normalize turning to alcohol when stressed.

I want to share this book with everyone
Revisado: 01-07-23
This book is amazing. I think every Christian should read it to build their confidence in Jesus and His Deity. I want to share it with my teens, my Buddhist nail tech, my nieces who grew up in the church but demonstrate little to no interest in Jesus, and my neighbor with a penchant for science and indifference toward Jesus. I’m going to reread it so I can be better prepared with answers for objections to my trust in Jesus.
