Not sure what I expected, but didn't think it was going to be one of my favorite audiobooks. 50 Cent is very intelligent, well read and a master communicator. He uses alot of same leadership/success principles found in other books but differentiates by making them accessible to the common person and uses his real world examples in his life to illustrate his points. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍

Solid Book Club Selection 📚 🐛

Not my usual genre but a book club selection I enjoyed. The glossary and accompanying information along with virtual tours of Jaipur beforehand made the story easier to understand as there are things I was unfamiliar with. FIRST The narrator is Excellent, GREAT JOB! This is a tale of 2 halves. It starts off as a coming of age story where sisters who just met are getting to know each other THEN an event occurs which intensifies the rest of the story. Characters are well developed and relatable (for better or worse) but where the book shines is the cultural and societal aspects of India during the mid 1950s.

Not what I expected

Was looking for more financial advice similar to Rich Dad Poor Dad and ended up with something like a conspiracy theorist rantings on Elites/gold/fake money/etc. Repetitive information and sometimes seems like an infomercial for him and his wife’s game. Also in the sections that he has questions from people, he avoids answering or replies with another question on several of them which makes the majority of it pointless. The narrator is excellent and made getting through the material manageable.

WARNING! Recording/Narration is that BAD 😥

Thought all the reviews were an exaggeration but I was wrong, it is probably the worst I've heard. There are noises in the recording and the narrator is choppy, not sure if it is spliced together or narrator is out of breath as you can hear his heavy breathing. I don't recommend if you want to focus on story, may be passable as just background noise. Probably better to read book if you are a lover of all Disney things. HEAR sample before buying (I didn't) 😞

🙄 Not TRULY an Orville story

The Orville crew are minor secondary characters and are not part of the early chapters. They have little impact on the plot and their roles could have been accomplished with nameless characters. Their presence seemed tacked on just to call it an Orville story. Not essential for fans of the TV show. 🙁

RAW, nothing like show

Life story of a very interesting guy. The author addresses cultural identity in America and finding one's self while also recounting a rebellious past and the many different experiences he has gone through. The author narrates his story perfectly, his energy and humor makes it seem like he is talking to a friend. Very entertaining but also some depth of thought as well.

Naya makes you feel her life story

This book delivers on the curiosity that most will get due to her untimely death. Naya narrating performance is immersive in how she presented her life story and haunting in some parts knowing what her fate was. Naya does not shy away or make light of some tough subjects and shows she is just a person going through life in its ups and downs like everyone else. She has complete honesty.

Short story hidden gem

WOW, surprisingly emotionally packed short story with a subtle hint of darkness. it was a simple concept but executed perfectly by both author and performer. The story is strong in the interactions of the characters and it shows how small events can have an impact on lives and last a lifetime. Beautifully written and performed, it is just one story of these characters but I wanted more. Hopefully there will be future installments. This is the type of story that keeps you thinking after you are finished.

Don't pass up if you've seen movie-DIFFERENT

Good Plus catalog selection! I did prefer the movie over the novel BUT this is still a solid story with the same theme. The course of the story is entertaining and feels about the allure of fame with the willingness to do dares for prices. The ending really makes this story! The INTENSITY is put to maximum level when they start playing for the highest stakes. Highly recommend, starts playful and becomes psychological thriller. Excellent narration as well.

Tween dystopian novel

Good recommendation from a friend. This is a dystopian novel where the government is a controlled state. I say it is a tween novel because it is not as intense as a YA novel but is a good entry into the genre and suitable for the family. The story is about a group of children who parents were enemy of the state sent to a school/conditioning camp who come to together to survive the harsh conditions and a quest of rebellion. The narrator made it easy to follow along even with the alternating perspectives of the group of main characters of boys and girls. There was slight change in tone and inflection for each person to know who's chapter it was without being overdramatic or taking focus away from the story. Very similar to what it sounds like in my own head while I read. I enjoyed the audio book.
