I really enjoy this narrator. but I didn't enjoy the story. I thought the main character, who showed great growth in the first book, taking steps back and acting childish. it seemed really out of character. I also didn't really believe she would try to clear her dads name after basically being no contact with him. this one just fell really flat for me.

I really like these books because they take place in my hometown city of Chicago. I also really like Harry Dresden. he dark and edgy but almost whimsical. and while I think James Marsters *is* Harry Dresden I wish he would have done more with the female voices.

slow to start but great finish.

the narration on this book was EXCELLENT! However the story started too far away from the mystery. the main character spends a lot of the beginning of the book lamenting and internalizing. it didn't feel necessary. however once we got to the meat of the story it was great!

this was a HUGE undertaking to listen to. I think this was my longest book yet! but I so enjoyed it. there are so many moments when I laughed out loud! time travel, humor, intrigue, and magic! this book has it all!

what a great. complex narrative! but it was hard to keep up with all the different names and titles. the story really picked up in the final few chapters, but was a little slow starting for me. I am looking forward to the sequel.
