Historia
It had always been Tabby's dream to work with cats and an inheritance from her beloved nanna has finally made that a reality. But when Leon leaves her in the lurch, the pressure mounts for Tabby. With Christmas fast approaching, she has to open the café on her own – a daunting prospect, especially when she's been hiding her health issues from the ones she loves.

I loved the story and also gained more understanding about chronic illness. Add cats and Christmas for a wonderful story :)

Excellent performance; moving yet lighthearted story
Revisado: 03-12-24
The story immediately grabbed my attention. The initial chapters from the male character offered a nice levity. Overall, it was wonderfully written and narrated. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

It was fine overall
Revisado: 03-19-22
The bulk was a struggle because the characters were dragging out secrets but the end was good. The mother's voice was rough.

Historia
Midnight. Cait Monaghan and Rebecca McRae are on a desolate road that slices through the New Mexican desert. They've never met before tonight. Both have secrets to protect. Both of their lives are in danger. When a truck pulls up fast behind them, they assume it's punk teenagers or run-of-the-mill road rage, but it soon becomes clear that whoever is driving the truck is hunting them for sport - and they are out to draw blood. As the miles unspool and the dangers mount, the pasts they've worked so hard to keep buried have come back to haunt them. Someone wants one of them dead.

Not nearly as good as Freefall
Revisado: 06-18-20
Compared to Freefall, which I foolishly thought this was a sequel to, I would give it 2 stars. The story isn't nearly as good, but still enjoyable to listen to. I found the narrator annoying and almost returned the book, but got used to it.

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.
