I cannot say enough positive things about this book and its insights. In a word, it’s brilliant!! I was engulfed by its message and the clear, poignant, practical, engaging, thought-provoking (and funny!) way the author draws in her audience. I’ve recommended it to at least a dozen people so far and will continue to do so. This message and understanding of how our brains, emotions and energy all work together needs to be spread far and wide…it’s the change agent that so many people are READY to hear, understand and act upon. If you’re looking for a thought-provoking new paradigm of how to understand yourself, your power and what’s possible in terms of how you relate and connect with others, please check this out.

Historia
High-achieving introverts feel the intense tug between the drive to achieve more and the need for solitude, between going out to conquer the world fighting with the desire to simply be alone. And there is an Achilles heel that every high-achieving introvert has: a keen sensitivity to inner critics, those voices telling us we aren’t enough of something - not good enough, qualified enough, attractive enough, smart enough.

So much of what she wrote resonated with me. I appreciated that she dug in, did her personal work, and shared her findings in a fun, lighthearted, yet deep and meaningful way. I also appreciated that this book focused on her growth (as an example) as an complete and separate individual, not just as a working mom or mother.
