I love this book!

This is a great read. The plot is solid. The characters are well developed. The narrator does a good job. It was easy to listen to. As a matter of fact I have listened to it several times. The author creates a world that is interesting. This one was definitely worth the money

Another great book by Lauraine snelling

As she always does Snelling brings a bygone era to living color. I laughed I cried it moved me Bob. Some books pertaing to Christian historical fiction are sugarcoated so everyone lives and problems are few. Snelling is brutally authentic to the issues of the late 1800s and early 1900s. She weaves characters who are accurate to the times and they go through struggles and tragedies that are at the same time universal and unique to the era and geography she writes about. You feel a sense of kinship with her characters and feel a dose of heartbreak when her characters face loss and even death. I find myself with tears rolling down my face. It is my opinion she is the best writer of historical fiction of our time.

Interesting read it you are a into the royal family.

I enjoyed this book it was written by a man who clearly enjoyed his time in royal service but was neither too fawning nor too critical. If you want to know more about the Queen Mother of how royal service works this is a good one for you.

Much more than a children's book

The author has a gift for writing that.is rare. She takes.on plots.from the fanciful to the.deadly serious and though she is a children's author can grab and hold the attention of readers of all ages. This book is just plain funny. I have listened to it often when I d not want to read my usual genre of millitary.history and it still makes me laugh.

inspiring story well told

I listened to this in 1 sitting. This is a story of perseverance, faith, loss and hope. This is a story much more about life than football. I know much has happened since this book was written but that is irrelevant. Character matters and coach is a fine example of someone who can succeed at the highest level without compromising.

Really interesting material and flawless dramatization!

This was a very enjoyable collection of the ways of the Victorian era. It is always a good reminder that the people.we.see in faded photos and paintings were real people who lived, loved and struggled perhaps not exactly as we do but every generation has its own unique issues as well ,as issues we have always and always will have. It is so important for us to understand when we attempt to judge those who came before us that the past is a different country they do things differently. Every generation has issues that should have been dealt with in a better way. Our brand children will judge us as well. This enjoyable collection is a way to better understand what and why our history is what it is.
