another fantastic romance for Peel

My attention was griped from beginning to end. I usually listen as I go about my to do's . I actually just sat & listened when my list was done as I got near the end because I had to know how it ended. I couldn't wait. The story was well written & the narrator really brought it to life. I've been frequently disappointed with audiobooks just from the narrator standpoint so this was refreshing. Lots of growth, maturing, 2nd chances and forgiveness in this story. I feel all aspects of this was handled in a real & believable way. Good side characters that helped the story & rounded out things nicely. The H had issues & so glad Jennifer didn't write the h as falling into his lap as he worked things out. A good twist to turn the story around that felt like I needed to pull up a chair, grab some popcorn & just watch it all unfold! As for romance this author can bring the steam while keeping it clean!

sweet 2nd chance Christmas romance

I loved this story first in print form. It was nice for this side character from a series to get his own story. When I read a Regency story I want to feel like I've stepped back in time. Sally Britton does this so well. Keeping with the tradition and times of the day. Of course the characters are likable and well rounded.

Adventurous & clean Regency romance

The narrator was wonderful. Sally Britton has fully developed stories, characters and narrators for her books. Miss Everly wasn't always my favorite in this series. I felt while she's a force to be reckoned with & that's not bad. However, sometimes she didn't consider how her actions effected others. Through this story I was able to understand her more & see her layers. What are her motivations. It would be a difficult thing to be a strong & independent female in the Regency era. I did come to like her more & wanted her to have her very own hea. I dont think she did fully acknowledge that her sometimes being rash or running headlong into things isn't always good & can have a negative impact. I found the romance to be sweet & swoony while staying clean. I thought the idea for this book was unique, original and fit our h perfectly. Along with the H. The story left me feeling satisfied. There is a nice flow and arc. I just think the whole series is wonderful. Sally Britton is a auto buy

enjoyable addition to the series. sweet & clean

I first read this book in print. Listening to this title added a nice depth to it. I could feel Grace's frustration at being mischaracterized as too timid or being looked over. I've really grown to like all the characters in this friend group. Sally Britton has written characters with depth and layers. I enjoyed how Jacob and Grace grew together and individually. This is part of a series but I think you could read it as a stand alone & still enjoy it. I very much appreciate the romance is kept clean and the story is kept within the time period. Nothing ruins a story faster for me than not striving for historical accuracy or bedroom scenes & the like.

Full of emotion, sweet romance

I first read this title. I really enjoyed it but wasn't my favorite in the series. Listening to the story added a new depth and emotion to the story. The reader did well in reflection & conveying the emotion and struggles of the h & H. This is one of my favorites now. I completely related with Christine and the skepticism of her sister choosing to fall in love, lol. I think I see the h's perspective. She is someone who is lacking in control of her future so she decides to make the most of it & take control where she can. The h & H both came from challenging childhood. I loved the way they overcame and their romance grew. The romance felt genuine. It was a wonderful love story with some sweet gestures big & small. Lord Easton (H) was a superb H. He was a great defender. If you enjoy Sarah Eden & you'd like to branch out to other authors you'll enjoy Sally Britton.

Creative regency retelling of a fairytale

I first read this in print. I loved it even more listening to the story. The reader is a good one to listen to. This is my second book read by her. Though this was a novella I still felt like I got a full story. The characters were still well rounded. The story or romance didn't feel rushed. I enjoyed Sally Britton added a little bit of foreshadowing of the sister's future.

Great Regency romance

The person reading the book had good inflection throughout. The romance was sweet and not rushed. I enjoy Sally's books because the focus is on the growth of the h & H and development of the romance. The story was unique. I appreciate the whole story being kept within the period it was set in. If you enjoy Sarah eden then Sally Britton is a good bet.

I loved reading this series & listening to it now is even better. It's great to hear the characters come to life. I think this would make a fun rom com movie. Loveable h &H, good flow and dialogue, fun quirky characters. This story & series is excellent for when you want an escape with a hea but still get a good story.

Favorite of the series

This was my favorite of the series. I loved the crossover of the jonquil and Lancaster family. The exchanges between Lord Lampton and the dangerous Duke were great. There love story was sweet. I thought the character development & them finding their place in the world of the H & h was excellent. It was a love story but also of second chances at life and overcoming grief to find happiness.
