Very good performance. The vocal characterizations are clear and consistent.

I was a little put off early on, but the story is engaging, well-written, and sometimes touching.
The main character's dialogue is frequently amusing with her "inappropriate humor".

Engaging and seamless writing with excellent narration.
Revisado: 01-14-24
C. Gockel is a masterful storyteller and writer with a great sense of timing and humor.
The whole series (7 plus books so far) is wonderful - engrossing, dramatic, sweet, and funny.
The drama is compelling, and the tension created is just right. (Even someone with a high level of anxiety - like me - probably won't be overwhelmed by it.)
There is also a generous amount of comic relief. The furry telepathic werfel (check spelling) and his friends ensure it. *The narrator's vocal depiction of Carl Sagan (not the human) is a delightfully comedic highlight.
PS. For those who are sensitive, don't be put t off by the sex bot character; it's not that kind of story. In the early books in the series, he's both very sweet - natured and hilariously inapproproate, but never threatening. The later development of his character and his story arc is deeply human. Superb writing and narration. Well done!

Historia
The Abundance of Less captures the texture of sustainable lives well lived in these ten profiles of ordinary—yet exceptional—men and women who left behind mainstream existences in urban Japan to live surrounded by the luxuries of nature, art, friends, delicious food, and an abundance of time. Drawing on traditional Eastern spiritual wisdom and culture, these pioneers describe the profound personal transformations they underwent as they escaped the stress, consumerism, busyness, and dependence on technology of modern life.

Real people living remarkable lives!
Revisado: 07-27-23
Very good performance, except for some strange pronunciations: (e.g. "Vague" does not rhyme with"bag".)
The people whose life choices and experiences the author describes are extraordinary, interesting, and worthy subjects. I so wish that I - and the world at large - could hear more!
The world would be a better place if more people lived as they have.

Lecturer's enthusiasm for his subject added greatly to my enjoyment - far from dry or blase.
Very few titles are included on this subject, sadly. I was very happy to find it and impressed with the quality.
A few mispronunciations and imperfect edits did not distract (much).
Very good, interesting program...Thanks!
