Great Story, very well read
Revisado: 05-08-15
Where does Debt of Honor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book is near the top of the Audible books, John MacDonald does a great job of distinguishing the characters with very different accents, voice inflections and style of read. The story, is of course, great. I am a big Clancy fan, have been for years.
Who was your favorite character and why?
John Clark is as always my favorite character.
Which scene was your favorite?
There are so many, but probably when Clark and Ding are meeting with the local Russian counterpart for the first time.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
An old enemy, now an ally. An old ally, now an enemy.

The story was good at times
Revisado: 05-08-15
Would you try another book from Wilbur Smith and/or Mike Grady?
I would try another book that was read by Mike Grady, and may look at other books by Wilbur Smith, however, I was disappointed with the story, did not connect with the main character at all.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Tom Clancy, Debt of Honor
Which scene was your favorite?
There were a few good scenes, the descriptions of the scenes around the cave in the desert were probably the best.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Not likely.
Any additional comments?
The story had a good premise, but the main character that never seems to find himself in real trouble, the outcomes all seemed too perfect. No real suspense with the story.

Not worth the time
Revisado: 03-07-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A better story, the story was not that good, too many gaps as well as taking very modern principals and trying to write them into a very old story, just didn't work for me.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not sure yet, still have to browse
Did Kevin Orton do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yes, slight voice inflections and very well red.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment, was not well written.
Any additional comments?
Not a book I would recommend to any of my friends. Too bad, there was a great premise, just didn't do a good job of making me believe that the character telling the story was either Native American, or from the period.
