an acceptable light read
Revisado: 12-04-22
I must say that I enjoyed the narrator more than the story. At some point I couldn't wait for the story to be over cause it felt like it was stuck on the same spot from beginning to end. Even though it was an uneventful story, strangely the ending still felt rushed. It is an ok listen to pass time otherwise.

solid crime mystery
Revisado: 11-27-22
this was a solid crime mystery story. i have ADD so i struggling with staying focused and finishing. And I am happy to announce that with this book i didnt find myself drifting off as much as i usually do and didnt have to hit rewind so much.
I am a sucker for happy endings so I probably would have changed only one thing about the ending to make it truly satisfying- but then my "pink cloud" ending would cost the book a little bit of its edge.

a feel good story
Revisado: 11-22-22
this is a sweet story, though it did have some elements of potential on the heavy side. I'm glad the book didn't dwell too much on the history of the politics within the story. this book was a nice pallet cleanser in-between my psychological thriller reads

good story, but unsure about the delivery of it...
Revisado: 11-20-22
I liked this book. that's the simple of it.
in more detail: the story was a good one. it did have an element of "keep you guessing" - if you haven't consumed enough psychological thrillers to be jaded. So if you are looking for a perfectly gripping and fresh psychological thriller, then this is not the one.
I agree with the reviewers who noted that the excessive use of "f bombs" was unnecessary and a tad bit off putting.
I have read a lot of this genre, but still was impressed with the almost predictable ending. there were a few crumbs of the "unpredictable" also thrown in there.
