I loved the first book, and the second did not disappoint. Layne is starting to flesh out the characters he introduced in the initial installment, so we begin to learn more about David, Sybil and the mysterious Ahriman. There are plenty of new and strange characters, powerful enemies to battle and surprising alliances forged. The narration is outstanding, and the story is well paced and engaging. In all and excellent listen!

Witty and ironic… making it hard to stop listening. This is storytelling done well, and a perfect explanation how suburbia, and the “people” who inhabit it, often seem so unnatural.

Brief, concise and helpful. If you are not a social media guru, or are hesitant to jump into LinkedIn (LI) as a part of you professional online presence, this book will help you understand how LI can be another tool in your social media tool kit. For those who grew up in the Facebook (FB) generation and have thousands of followers, this book will help you to understand that LI is not FB for professionals, and that there are no prizes for the person who amasses the highest number of meaningless connections. Read it, follow Breitbarth's advice, and it can improve your business communications, sales, and job prospects.

Can reading a book about one's relationship with food truly inspire radical changes in health and healing? In a word... Yes! I admit it. I was skeptical. I would describe myself as healthy and fit throughout my 20s and 30s, despite a "less than ideal" diet; however, in my 40s, in addition to an expanding waste line, I was plagued by chronic joint pain, fatigue, and had been taking daily medication for Acid Reflux for years. A friend recommended It Starts With Food, and after reading it, I took part in the Whole 30 challenge. Following the simple but non-negotiable guidelines set out in this book by the husband and wife team, Dallas and Melissa Hartwig, I quickly discovered that my symptoms were not just a by-product of "getting old" as my doctor suggested. They were in fact, the inevitable consequence of eating nutrient poor, over-processed, carb and sugar rich food that typifies the modern diet.

It is not easy to give up the foods you love... even for 30 days, but if you are willing to try it, you may just discover like I did that the medical challenges you face, the ones that could have you taking pills for the rest of your life, are actually self inflicted wounds. I am now medication free, lost 25 pounds and the aches and pains I thought would be a permanent part of my life seem to have just faded away. It really does start with food!

I enjoyed the book as well as the narration. Chris Anderson has compiled a well organized and impassioned explanation on preparing for and giving a TED Talk. Though many of the concepts will translate to smaller presentations, if you are trying to sharpen your skills for a chat among colleagues or fellow students, this book may not be what you are looking for; however, if you are a fan of TED Talks and would like to get a behind-the-scenes peak at the preparation behind talks that went viral, you will find this well worth your time.
