Historia
"Present day conditions," writes Pink, "call loudly for a new examination and new presentation of God's omnipotence, God's sufficiency, God's sovereignty. From every pulpit in the land it needs to be thundered forth that God still lives, that God still observes, that God still reigns. Faith is now in the crucible, it is being tested by fire, and there is no fixed and sufficient resting place for the heart and mind but in The Throne of God.

A Greatly Worthwhile Listen
Revisado: 02-07-23
The main focus on the Sovereignty of God remains consistent throughout. Continual use of scripture is used to make every argument and the topics go in a logical sequence. I really appreciated the 2nd edition extension at the end (lasted about an hour and a half) as it helped cover concerning topics that were not part of the main scope of this book. Excellent teaching—highly recommended!

Historia
Because God has made himself known in his word, a commitment to a high view of scripture is of paramount importance. Sadly, more and more people - not only from outside the church, but also from within - are denying the complete truthfulness of God's word. Edited by pastor John MacArthur, this compilation of essays by a host of evangelical pastors, theologians, historians, and biblical scholars contends that the Bible is completely true and without error - a foundational belief for those who claim to honor God and his word.

Powerful Collection of Writings
Revisado: 01-16-23
This Book was much better than I expected. Some sections are a bit more academic while others a written for “laymen”. The insights, truths, and concepts brought forth in this book are excellent! HIGHLY worth listening to! I plan on buying the Kindle or print edition soon!
One issue, the chapter listings are only numbers and do not explain where new sections begin nor who the author was of a particular section (they do saw who it was at the beginning of each section but by the end of each, I had usually forgotten who it was).

Historia
This volume of short essays and other pieces by C.S. Lewis is part of a larger collection, C.S. Lewis: Essay Collection and Other Short Pieces. In addition to his many books, letters, and poems, C.S. Lewis wrote a great number of essays and shorter pieces on various subjects. He wrote extensively on Christian theology and the defense of faith but also on ethical issues and the nature of literature and storytelling. Within these pages is a treasure trove of Lewis' reflections on diverse topics.

Excellent Content from One of My Favorite Writers
Revisado: 01-16-23
This book will really get you to think. I grew up in a Christian home so I never really felt the need to Search for God. However, Lewis unashamedly brings forth viewpoints I had frankly never heard before or thought of and I really appreciated that immensely! I saved MANY bookmarks from this Audiobook and already have re-referenced this book since listening. Ralph Cosham reads many of the C.S. Lewis books and does an excellent job—great reader. Highly recommended Audiobook for Christians and for nonbelievers that want to Search for God!

Historia
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

The reader, Rosamund Pike performed exquisitely in this Audiobook. This was my first experience with Pride and Prejudice outside of a movie format and it was well worth the listen! I am interested in listening to more Jane Austen after listening to this one. Highly recommended.

Historia
Ben Franklin's own lively story of his early years is a unique, fascinating, and influential look at this American founding father. It has been taught in schools as a moral tract, as a guide to self-improvement, and as the Great American Success Story. It also is relished both for its insight into colonial life and the mind of the man who most affected the development of our democratic form of government.

Worthwhile listen, very witty, good reader
Revisado: 01-16-23
#1: The reader really embodied Ben Franklin with this reading.
#2: Worth a listen for the historical context and many of the insights that Franklin provides.
#3: However, do not expect much about the founding of the U.S.A. as the story ends rather abruptly and does not go that far. Also, it brought to light a worldview that Franklin had that was quite sad to read/hear.
