I really like this book because it had lots of books in it and it is definitely not a waste of money or credits I really think this book is really good I like all the details and things about what the characters are doing at the time

Empowering

This book is life changing. I had to stop often and absorb and reread. I had my husband listen to several parts because I could say THIS. THIS is what it feels like for me. There are still many validating, supportive, gentle pushes. it is like talking to your therapist, if your therapist was also your best friend.

Good Book but Reader Beware

I thought this book was well written for many reasons. I liked how it jumped back and forth seamlessly through different points of views of the characters. It's display of humanity, of bias, of character is raw and true. Amanda and Clay seem like the average 'good people', 'every day family' but I grew to despise them, especially Amanda throughout the book. I think this book would be a good way for you to check your own character.

I thought the way that suspense was built was amazing, really put you on edge. But this is also my Reader Beware area. If you are depressed or anxious over Covid/politics/global warming, this may not be a book you want to pick up. You can all to easily read this book as a small step from where we are now, mid-pandemic.

Ending...Like others, I wanted more, but that was because I just wanted to hear more of the author's voice and story. I am not surprised at the ending, it hands the story over to you to decipher and I'm ok with that.

Her story is not just about being First Lady. I connected with her as a working mother just trying to get errands done on a lunch hour, sitting in the car in the parking lot eating lunch and celebrating the fact that you got a couple to-dos checked off your list.
