Historia
In her hit Netflix comedy special Baby Cobra, an eight-month pregnant Ali Wong resonated so strongly that she even became a popular Halloween costume. Wong told the world her remarkably unfiltered thoughts on marriage, sex, Asian culture, working women, and why you never see new mom comics on stage but you sure see plenty of new dads.

Historia
In the 19th century, Europe was the crucible for most of the ideas, institutions, and "isms" that now shape the life of our entire planet-nationalism, capitalism, democracy, socialism, feminism, and the list goes on and on. But where did these ideas come from? Over the course of 24 sweeping lectures, Professor Kramer invites you to view intellectual history as a series of overlapping, interconnected dialogues....

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

OMG, what is this country coming to?
Revisado: 04-13-22
I have this problem about always finishing a book after I start it. I have got to stop that.
The story line is completely predictable, the dialog is consistent with thirteen year old and inconsistent tones of Tom’s masculine persona. I cringed at every turn with overly simplistic representations of the emotional foundation of this kids actions.
The reading was fine but Joe’s voice sounded to me like he is sixty years old.
I assumed as I finished this that I must have mis-read the reviews… only to see it was on a best seller list. I am in shock. I will be going back to Jane Austin, the Brontë sisters, Trevor Noah… even Iliza Schlesinger is at Nobel Price level in comparison to this book.

Historia
Following Jane from her childhood as an orphan in Northern England through her experience as a governess at Thornfield Hall, Charlotte Brontë's Gothic classic is an early exploration of women's independence in the mid-19th century and the pervasive societal challenges women had to endure. At Thornfield, Jane meets the complex and mysterious Mr. Rochester, with whom she shares a complicated relationship that ultimately forces her to reconcile the conflicting passions of romantic love and religious piety.

Thandie brings this story to life.
Revisado: 11-11-20
I have read the book before, and overwhelmed with the writing and the story. It is absolutely of no question is should stand among the greatest books ever written. But having Thandie assume the characters, accents and mannerisms, animate the characters so they come to life. A spectacular performance of a incredible emotional journey.
