It was ok, would not recommend to anyone. A fine way to pass the time, but very predictable and at the same time slow moving. They should have spent way more time on the mystery-which is the only interesting part. The rest is just a ridiculous club run by teenagers. It has potential and a good premise, but this was not it.

Unlikeable, unrealistic

I would not have finished this book if it had been my book club’s book. The conversation is terrible-literally no one acts like these people. I hated all of these people-except for the very adorable 3-year old, Briar. The rest are just annoying and unlikeable. I felt like this author saw the movie “The Help” and just copied the formula for modern times. The story is completely unrealistic. The absolute best part of the book is the first chapter-just slip the rest.

Couldn't stop listening to it. Loved it! Especially if you are from Cincinnati - there are all kinds of references from our hometown, which is fun. Even if not, it is a great read.

I have really loved Ms. Moriarty's other books and couldn't wait to listen to this one. It drags on and on and on and on. Nothing ever happens - just get on with it. I finally couldn't take it anymore and had a friend of mine just tell me what happened, so I could move onto another book. Her other books are GREAT! Husband's Secret, Big Little Lies - Get those. This was a huge disappointment - not her usual style.
