Kelly is helping her parents in Florida after her dad’s health crisis when ex-Husband Steve, a convicted attempted- murderer, may just have escaped from jail. Since Kelly was the one that turned him in, that could be a huge problem for her.

The narration by Amanda Fichter was perfect for this book. She brought the characters and story to life. If you like Lorelei King, and Judy Kaye, you will enjoy Amanda as well. Definitely in the same league.

Great look at life in 1953 Alaska

There was never a trial, and even after reading all the information, I have no strong opinion in who actually committed the murder. Still this is a great read about an event little know today and filled with lots of interesting characters. Pre Statehood Alaska is also fascinating to learn about.

I don't remember ever reading about the crimes of Lewis Lent. Somehow his efforts to retract and deny his confessions made him even more of a horrible human being.
Good book. Glad I listened. Narrator did a good job.

I got a little lost among all the various characters occasionally, but it didn't matter. The gist of what was happening was clear enough. Nice clean mystery/ romance elevated to an even higher level by a super performance by Jenny Hoops.

The stories are very predictable. Nice, but a bit dull. Tom Jordan's narration really makes it worth a listen.

Mantegna might just be my favorite Spencer narrator of them all. You know what you expect in any Spencer book and this one doesn't disappoint.

Another Good H.Y. Hanna Series

I have listened to many H.Y. Hanna books and enjoyed them all so I thought I would give this one a try. No disappointment here. Naturally a lot of that enjoyment comes from the as usual great Pearl Hewitt narration.

Another Winner

I have listened to several of these Scott Jarvis books, so overall I do recommend them very much.

The one thing that always through me off somewhat is Lee Stayer's performance. He has become Jarvis to me, so I know what he will sound like in each new edition. What I can't quite figure out is if he is "acting" when he sound so choppy in his delivery as that the style they feel is right for the character, or does he really talk like that. Like I said I am used to it, but still think it a very strange style.
