Historia
Reidon Ward will become a god. He doesn't know it yet, of course. Reidon was born weak, sickly, and small. Afflicted with a painful disease and abandoned by his parents because of it, he has had to fight tooth and nail for every minor advantage life has allowed him. However, his perseverance has not gone unnoticed, and when the most powerful artificial intelligence in human history takes an interest in him, things began to change quickly.

Like a buffet for cliches
Revisado: 02-17-24
If you take every coming-of-age book, and find all of the common denominators, and used the resulting list to write a book, you wouod get this book. Absolutely nothing new here.

Historia
The newspaper refers to the body only as Victim 2117 - the 2117th refugee to die in the Mediterranean Sea. But to three people, the unnamed victim is so much more, and the death sets off a chain of events that throws Department Q, Copenhagen’s cold cases division led by Detective Carl Mørck, into a deeply dangerous - and deeply personal - case. A case that not only reveals dark secrets about the past, but has deadly implications for the future.

Novelist Aaron Holland Broussard is shattered when his daughter, Fannie Mae, dies suddenly. As he tries to honor her memory by saving two young men from a life of crime amid their opioid-ravaged community, he is drawn into a network of villainy that includes a violent former Klansman, a far-from-holy minister, a biker club posing as evangelicals, and a murderer who has been hiding in plain sight.

If you didn't like this book because of your misguided political views, it's okay. You aren't intelligent enough to be blamed. Sincerely, Jerod Ray.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Ray Porter strikes again...
Revisado: 05-12-23
The story is great, however, there's something about Ray Porter's performance that always takes every bit of suspense out of a story. His voice could make The Shining sound like a romantic comedy.

The Yellowstone super-eruption has put an end to modern civilization. Could not even finish it...
Revisado: 01-31-23
I've listened to every other Taylor book. This is the first one I couldn't finish. Stopped with 40 minutes left to go because there was absolutely nothing inventive about this story. One cliche character, in an even more cliche situation, after another.

Historia
It is not just the living ships of the monstrous Gorgons or the motion-blurred shock troops of the armored Cyphers that endanger the holdouts in the human bastion of Panther Ridge. The world itself has turned against the handful of survivors, as one by one they succumb to despair and suicide or, even worse, are transformed by otherworldly pollution into hideous Gray Men, cannibalistic mutants driven by insatiable hunger.

Historia
Most men settle for a cookie-cutter life. This audiobook is not for most men. We live in a cushy, modern world with more possibilities than ever before. So why do most men settle for lackluster, cookie-cutter lives that leave them feeling stuck, drained, and uninspired? This Book Will Make You Dangerous is a guide for the rare, few men who refuse to sleepwalk through life. You’ll learn how to: Challenge your fears so that you don’t become another guy who gave up on his potential, align your life with meaning so that you can create success on your own terms, and more.

Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Absolute drivel...
Revisado: 10-18-22
This book was clearly written by someone in love with existence. So rosy and optimistic that I could barely get through it. I wouldn't be surprised to discover the author has never so much as stubbed their toe. I'm not sure how Haig has done it, but I hope he continues to live a life free of any real insecurity.

Revisado: 08-18-22
I agree with the politics in this book, but the writing is still absolute trash. This entire story reads like something written in a high school lit class. Zero character development. Predictable storyline. One cliché and tired motif after another. Truly amateur writing.
