Historia
In 2014, the world witnessed the start of a mysterious series of cyberattacks. Targeting American utility companies, NATO, and electric grids in Eastern Europe, the strikes grew ever more brazen. They culminated in the summer of 2017, when the malware known as NotPetya was unleashed, penetrating, disrupting, and paralyzing some of the world's largest businesses—from drug manufacturers to software developers to shipping companies. At the attack's epicenter in Ukraine, ATMs froze. The railway and postal systems shut down. Hospitals went dark.

Small history lesson I was not expecting
Revisado: 09-27-23
I am listening to this book in Sept of 2023. With Russia's "special military operation" firing on all cylinders at the moment, the small history lesson explaining just how long & actually why the current day conflict has been bubbling just below the surface is an eye opener. I was not expecting that nice little surprise at all. This book has really grabs me by the front of my shirt & shakes me as to sceam "WAKE UP". With so much of the world reliant on the internet for day to day life. It is terrifying to realize that we are basically one cyber attack away from being thrown to the dark ages or worse.

Spanning decades, Sheeran’s story chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries, and connections to mainstream politics.

In a bid to take down MS-13's criminal network in the Mission District of San Francisco, Michael Santini, a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations, recruits a pair of hardened gang members and convinces them to risk their lives as criminal informants. Set in a city with one of the strictest sanctuary policies protecting illegal immigrants in America, Operation Devil Horns illustrates how politically correct ideology impacts life-or-death crime fighting on the streets.

Dan “Tito” Davis is the ultimate survivor. Having been an international fugitive for over 13 years, and across more than 54 countries, Tito had evaded the tough, three lettered trio of the F.B.I., C.I.A., and the D.E.A., and then, for good measure, the U.S. Marshals, Homeland Security, U.S. Customs, Interpol, local law enforcement agencies, immigration agents, mercenaries, guerrilla organisations, professional kidnappers, career hit-men, vigilantes, human traffickers, and most other entities worth being wanted by.

Not What I Thought
Revisado: 06-15-19
Listened to the sample, sounded interesting so I bought it. Tried giving it a go, but... I less than half way through and can't go further. It's very slow. Slow and dry. Uneventful. And again, very very slow. Definitely not for me.

A charismatic young entrepreneur known only as the Dread Pirate Roberts quickly built a client base of more than a million customers and created a billion-dollar company that supplied drugs, weapons, false IDs, and anonymous bank accounts to the underworld. This is the true story of how a disabled Mormon grandfather found himself in the middle of it all.

Tell and money I can not get back
Revisado: 05-06-19
This book is read by the author. However, when he's reading it, it really sounds as though he's reading it for the very first time. His overall story makes it seem like he was the only person on the Silk Road website that was advising everyone of doing anything illegal. He tells it as though he had no clue as to what was going on in there. "Some much more than they're telling you"... say what it really is, a backstory of your religious upbringing, the boy scout you make yourself out to be. You could not have been that clueless. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOOK. And how he says he instantly knew who Knob was the minute he laid eyes on Carl Force... Please.

Historia
In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.
