This is another book in the series of Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James two detectives working together solving murders and crime. together, they make a colourful fine team. Always the element of romance budding between them and their various and complex personal lives. Duncan in this book coming to an unnderstanding of being a father and trying to juggle work and duty .
Gemma a single divorced mother with a young son, trying to make her way in life while working and finding herself mixed up with her feelings for Duncan. The plot in this book takes us back to war torn London as the main characters in the story find themselves caught up in a mystery in todays world. We go back and forth 2 stories in one amazing work.
An excellent writing thankyou for this fine piece of work Mz Crombie. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

When a K9 search-and-rescue team discovers a woman's body tangled up with debris in the river, Scotland Yard superintendent Duncan Kincaid finds himself heading an investigation fraught with complications. The victim, Rebecca Meredith, was a talented but difficult woman with many admirers - and just as many enemies. This particular story gives you insight to the rowing community and the rigorous life of a rowing team.

Seven people might have murdered Eric Crowther, the mysterious recluse who lived in the gaunt house whose shadow fell across the White Cottage. Seven people had good cause. It was not lack of evidence that sent Detective Chief Inspector Challenor and his son Jerry half across Europe to unravel a chaos of clues. The White Cottage Mystery was Margery Allingham's first detective story, published initially as a newspaper serial.

Baldi by Simon Brett
Revisado: 08-10-17
This series is excellent. I love the performance, each one of the characters brought to life by the cast.
Father Baldi's struggle between his spiritual life and his love of the world gives the reader an insight into his world we cannot ever understand unless we live that life.
The almost romance between himself and the lady detective he frequently solves crime with is very insightful of his worldly struggle and his faith. David Threlfall and Tina Kellegher are truly great in this series.

Historia
Is Number 67 Clarges Steet the unluckiest house in Mayfair? Every season the beau mondes of the Regency would hire a house in the heart of London’s fashionable West End at disproportionately high rent for often inferior accommodation and yet Number 67 Clarges Street, a town house complete with staff, remains vacant from year to year. Could it be that it is associated with ill luck and even death? Something must be done so that the servants of this house don’t lose their livelihood.

I thought the reader was fine . This was not the best of M.C. Beaton stories, but if you like light romance this book is good for you.

Another good mystery from Ann Cleeves in the Shetland series. I always have to read her books a couple of times they are so full of detail names and places I get a bit turned around with it. The world of the Scottish islands are full of mysterious folk lore and that gets all mixed in here. if you like a detailed mystery be like me and try this series, excellent reader Kennith Blythe
