Historia
A collection of humorous, sexy, and highly neurotic tales about parenting, long-term relationships, systemic and interpersonal racism, and class conflict from the author of The Town of Babylon, The People Who Report More Stress deftly and poignantly expresses the frustration of knowing the problems and solutions to our society’s inequities but being unable to do anything about them.

While the themes of the book about stress and race are important, I felt that the characters in each were similar and only two of the short stories stuck out to be on their own.

Historia
Samantha Heather Mackey couldn't be more of an outsider in her small, highly selective MFA program at New England's Warren University. A scholarship student who prefers the company of her dark imagination to that of most people, she is utterly repelled by the rest of her fiction writing cohort—a clique of unbearably twee rich girls who call each other "Bunny", and seem to move and speak as one. But everything changes when Samantha receives an invitation to the Bunnies' fabled "Smut Salon"....

A bit confusing

A bit confusing but go with your gut on the underlining story and theme here

Loved this book

I honestly had no idea what I was gonna think about this book. I was a little bit hesitant because it just wasn’t sure where the storyline was going to go but holy smokes was it amazing and I was sad when it ended because I wanted to keep reading more. I’m interested to know and read what else this author has written

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is 12 hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that.

Now one of my all time favorites!

Don’t listen to anyone who says they hate the audio narration. This book is gold. It’s not just a love story, but an anthology of what it means to be human. It reminds you of the beauty humanity. Honestly this book really touched me in a really rough time, and brought me back to life again. You should read this book.
