Historia
Atlantis: The Antediluvian World was published in 1882 by the Minnesotan author Ignatius L. Donnelly. He argues that all known ancient civilizations were descended from this lost land which once existed in the Atlantic Ocean, opposite the Mediterranean Sea. The author claimed that the description of this island given by Plato is not fable, but veritable history.

Great content, obnoxious narration
Revisado: 01-13-23
I absolutely love this book. It's very interesting and well-researched. But the narrator is extremely distracting. He frequently mispronounces words and for some reason, he decided to create a unique voice for every person that he quotes. There are frequent quotations throughout this book and all of the different, unnecessary accents really take away from the content. The voices almost even seem mocking at times. If you can get past that, this is a great book and very eye-opening and convincing.

Historia
Dolores Cannon's work in hypnosis has taken the study beyond abduction. Dolores traces the phenomenon from the simple to the complex. Exploring areas untouched by other investigators, she makes the unbelievable become acceptable and understandable! The audiobook includes investigations through hypnotherapy of suspected alien abduction cases and 12 years of UFO extraterrestrial research dating from 1986 to 1998 conducted by Dolores Cannon.

Very interesting material, distracting performance
Revisado: 08-24-20
One of the narrators reads like she is constantly trying to keep herself from laughing while attempting to tell a joke. Except the subject matter isn't intended to be funny. She intentionally talks like a child, just a notch above baby talk at times. I can't imagine why anyone would think her style of reading would be acceptable for an audio book except maybe a children's book. The subject matter is absolutely fascinating but I'm so distracted by her performance that I have a hard time enjoying it.

Great content but poor editing on the delivery

Great content, but needs visuals and is full of distracting narrator mistakes
Revisado: 02-15-19
Overall, this is a very engaging and interesting journey through history. However there are some major flaws that diminish the experience. First, you can tell that this series of lectures was intended to be viewed, not just heard. There are several occasions where the narrator refers to diagrams and images that he is showing the audience. Video would be a better medium. Even without visuals, the content is still largely accessible and easily understandable. The main reason why I rated this audiobook only three stars is because of the performance of the narrator. He constantly trips all over his words and struggles vocalize his lecture. It is very distracting and frustrating to listen to. Honestly, I would probably do the same thing if I was in his shoes, but that's why I don't narrate audiobooks.
