Future-proof your career and maximize your competitive advantage by learning the skill necessary to stay relevant, reinvent yourself, and adapt to whatever the workplace throws your way in this essential guide. Scott Young incorporates the latest research about the most effective learning methods and the stories of other ultralearners like himself - among them Ben Franklin, Judit Polgar, and Richard Feynman, as well as a host of others, such as little-known modern polymaths like Nigel Richards who won the World Championship of French Scrabble - without knowing French.

Extremely Useful

Author's speaking pattern is distracting, but the information is incredible. Highly recommend as a lifelong student.

Disjointed, but a good story
Revisado: 11-08-17
It was hard at first to establish what the “story” was, but once I gave up trying it became the best story I’ve heard in a long time. Wonderful narrator, very passionate read. All the women sound the same, but there aren’t many so they’re not easy to mix up.

Historia
Sisters. Strangers. Survivors. More than 20 years ago, Claire and Lydia's teenaged sister Julia vanished without a trace. The two women have not spoken since, and now their lives could not be more different. Claire is the glamorous trophy wife of an Atlanta millionaire. Lydia, a single mother, dates an ex-con and struggles to make ends meet. But neither has recovered from the horror and heartbreak of their shared loss—a devastating wound that's cruelly ripped open when Claire's husband is killed.

Everyone sounded the same...
Revisado: 11-08-17
Everyone - especially the men and Lydia - sounded the same through the entire book. For a thriller, there was a LOT of internal dialogue. I did not like this book. The overall plot was more or less good, but the constant “OMG WHAT DO I DO NOW” and freezing in terror or standard “lady blunder” and blah blah blah general bitching overcame what I thought could have been a really good plot. I just think it could’ve been done better.

You’ll laugh until your sides hurt!
Revisado: 10-17-17
The actors are all great, and Alvin’s attitude is the best it could be. It’s all I could expect of a 10-year-oldWhen the world rests on his shoulders. Buyer beware, there is a bit of a spoiler at the end of Orson Scott card’s commentary at the end of the audiobook! But it was a good listen, overall.
