This book is amazing. It’s very well written and there was a realistic approach. I love the relationship progression between Miller and Danny. How the animosity was there in the beginning, to the reluctant friendship with undeniable chemistry and to their inevitable getting tangled together.
The complications and implications that it brought was also tied up well. I like that the author didn’t tie everything up in a pretty bow. The resolution to each problem was dealt with realistically. Nothing was all wrapped up quickly and neatly. It was dealt with growing pains, great sacrifice, facing their own truth and fighting their own demons.
There was pain, there was angst, there was hurt, but also there was healing and growing together. I love it.
The only part that makes me sad is I wish there was more.
Paul Morey did a great job narrating.

A Sky Full of Stars For This One!

I’m late for the party but I wholeheartedly agree with each and every soul in this galaxy who said the same thing: this one is SO good. I don’t want it to end. May or may not have pressed rewind button needlessly again. 😆

I love everything about it, I love how well it’s written, I love the educational tidbits about space and life in out space and the hardship of every astronaut as they come back to earth, they were woven well to the story that it doesn’t feel like an info dump.
I love how the value of the things we take for granted are highlighted when one doesn’t have easy access to them (even things like ceiling fan).
I love this book. I wish there was more.

Greg Tremblay’s narration was on point. He’s so good, I couldn’t let it go and sleep. I couldn’t find a stopping point, it’s akin to reading when keep saying “just one more page”, I kept saying “just one more chapter.”

Mystery and slow burn romance

This book surprised me. It's my first read from this author and first listen from this narrator.

I am impressed with the world building. A world with vampires living among humans, after an epic war between two species.
I can see the parallelism between the real world and the fictional societal issues we face. Divide between races, discrimination, trying to get everybody to conform.
However, there are time that I get confused too. There are moments where it felt like information after information were just being dumped.

I like a good mystery. This book definitely has it. But can Otto's bitter resentment and anger towards what happened to Maisie be limited? Yes, what happened to Maisie was horrible.. but it felt like it was too repetitive.
Otto seemed like every move he makes is all about Maisie and couldn't see out of his own prejudice and his own dark cloud of bitterness and resentment.
I adore Jessa. A true romantic who is under the protective umbrella of his family and a fiance who really doesn't accept him as he is, but rather wanted to use him as a stepping stone for his social climbing ways.

It was definitely a slow burn for this two. The audio is long, 11 plus hours. It felt so slow. However, when they got together, it was worth those hours!

I didn't realize this was a series, but now that I know it is, I can't wait to see where this series leads.

Fantastic Series 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Wow. This series is filled with a lot of love, suspense, romance, mystery, action, angst & even a bit of humor. Also, Jamie & Kade are super hot together.

There’s so much feels in this series, it’s beautifully written.

Amazing & Hot! 🔥

Jaime & Kage’s relationship develops, a roller coaster ride but also it has to be low key because of
Kage’s career path.

Their sex scenes though, so freaking hot. Jaime is adorable with his homoerotic self discovery. Kage is perfect for him. These two are totally adorable.

There’s also mystery developing in this book. What’s up with Santori?

Maris Black did an amazing job with this series. There is so much going on and you can’t help but be captivated.

JF Harding’s narration is excellent. 👏🏼

Just Wow!

This trilogy is one of my favorites. I love the dynamics between Kage and Jamie. It’s intense, but also sweet and a bit cute.

I devoured this series in two days. It’s powerful, the plot is rich, laced with mystery, there’s enough angst and there’s also enough lighthearted moments.

All the Feels!!!

We get to know Gael in this book. I adore him, he’s a great best friend to Talon and has always been kind to Finn.

Who would have thought that such a great guy has been thru so much and is still hiding so much pain?
His struggles broke my heart. Oh my.. Gael. 💖

Jake’s introduction to the group was a mixed bag and is to be expected. He’s also in a weird position being from one group to now working with H.E.R.O.

Jake & Gael’s relationship development was a heck of a ride, but boy were the sexy times hot as ever! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I cried during that “I want a family with you” special scene. It was so beautiful and perfect for Gael and for Jake and cemented their love and commitment. 💖

Nick J Russo, you killed it!!! Your narration conveyed so much emotions and your performance was amazing! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Promising Start to A New Series!

I listened to this series some time ago and recently re-listened to it. For some reason, it reminds me a little bit of the THIRDS series, just the aspect of a "regular" human paired with "enhanced" ones.

I adore Finn. I admire his drive, his dedication to get somewhere in life and get out of his sh!tty home. I was rooting for him even if Talon was being such a massive jerk. I like that there was a process of gaining trust and respect for both of them to work together. I also liked that the attraction between them wasn't too drawn out and they eventually recognized it for what it was.

I can't wait to listen again to the next books. It's good to experience them again.

Nick J. Russo's performance is great! He definitely gave the characters justice with his narration and performance.

Going Strong!

I enjoyed this book more that the first. We’re seeing the growing pains of Talon & Finn’s relationship. How one wants to protect the other, and the other wants to prove his own strength & his own worth. It’s a realistic struggle for a new relationship. And I love how their conflict got resolved.

I love the other characters in this series too & I’m looking forward to getting to know them, but at the same time, I wanna keep reading about Talon & Finn. ♥️

Nick J Russo did a fantastic job with his performance. He managed to give all different characters come life in various ways and accents. Amazing!

Eternally Wishing There Was More...

"Not where you and me are concerned" ~Scott

I absofreakin'lutely love every minute of this book. It was quite a journey but it was so worth it. Tad's journey to self discovery was a thing to watch. Scott's throwing caution to the wind and taking a chance is also a major part of that journey. How they came together and how they've cemented their relationship is a perfect way to end this series. What a beautiful happy ending for now for Tad and Scott.

"He'd won, in losing, in the most monumental way"

This book, this whole series, deserves a sky full of stars. It's beautifully written. It pulls emotions, lots of emotions. Every song mentioned also sets the mood for the scenes and makes it so much more of an experience.

Michael Pauley deserves a standing ovation for his performance in this series. It was smooth, flawless, enticing and ridiculously captivating.

Just as Tad said, "Eternally unceasing note to self: Love this man forever." I love this series, and I'll do so, forever!
