Historia
Not long after Stone and his ex-partner Dino make the acquaintance of Billy Bob—a smooth-talkin’ Texan packing a wad of rare two-dollar bills—someone takes a shot at them. Against his better judgment, Stone offers Billy Bob a safe haven for the night but almost immediately regrets it. The slippery out-of-towner has gone missing and someone has been found dead—in Stone’s town house no less.

Typical Stuart Woods
Revisado: 02-22-06
A typical Stone Barrington novel with all of Stone's charm and charisma. It even includes Stone getting bamboozled several times. Of course big trouble ensues and Stone is able to work out the sorry mess and end up smelling like roses, but not before getting himself and his lovely lady (or 2) into a heap of trouble.
A fun read/listen.

Lovely Book
Revisado: 02-22-06
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I laughed, cried and cheered as the women in the book grew and came to know and love each other. I was disappointed with the outcome for Mrs. Judson, but not every story has a happy outcome. It was well written and well read. I loved the book and highly recommend it.

All good things, even laughter and orange marmalade cake, must come to an end. And in Light from Heaven, the long-anticipated final volume in the phenomenally successful Mitford Years series, Karon deftly ties up all the loose ends of Father Timothy Kavanagh's deeply affecting life.

It Ended All Too Soon
Revisado: 02-22-06
The ending came too soon for me. But all good things must end. It ended well, but I hate to say good bye to such dear friends, for Father Tim and his family and friends have become friends to me. I will miss them, but can revisit anytime by re-reading (listening to) the books. These books are a treasure.

Jan Karon never fails to please
Revisado: 08-24-05
I have enjoyed all of the Mitford series books. Jan Karon has a style that makes you feel like you belong to the people of the stories. She makes you want to move to Mitford. Too bad it is fictional. She is also adept at expressing the spiritual ups and downs of the many different life-styles in these two places. A wonderful book.
