Narration and story
Revisado: 05-06-25
The narrator is perfect for the Robicheaux series. The infliction and pronunciation is easy listening and melodious. The story is complex and very interesting with historical facts intertwined. Love the beautiful descriptions of scenes, leaving visions and smells behind each one. Actions are actively described. Absolutely fascinating, can’t get enough.

Historia
The image of the dead girl's body lingered in detective Dave Robicheaux's mind as he drove home. After seeing the young victim's corpse, the last thing he needed to come across was a drunk driver. But when he saw the Cadillac fishtail across the road, Robicheaux knew the driver was in trouble. What Dave didn't realize, was that by pulling the car over, he was opening his murder case wider than he could imagine. The driver, Elrod Sykes, in New Iberia to star in a movie, leads Dave to the remains of a black man that had washed up in the Atchafalaya swamp.

Truth is Hard to Get

Fascinating! I remember some of this but this account tells it all. The time involved and the excruciating steps to get anything changed in politics is frustrating! That takes conviction. What a friend!!

This author-narrator combination is a winner. The story is entrancing. The narration delivery is spot on with the characters and intense at times to magnify the significance of what is happening. Very well done!
