The story is well done. It has many surprises and not of suspense

A handed look into Trump's thinking and behavior
Revisado: 09-13-23
listening to these tapes can be a grind but it's interesting to see how a renowned reporter and writer like Bob Woodward works. these tapes give a real insight into Trump and how he interacts with other people. he can be quite Charming but the main thing that one gets from these tapes is that Trump has one goal and that is to become more famous rich and Powerful. Trump Lacks any sympathy or empathy for others. he never has had it and he never will. I don't know why he doesn't. from what a little I have read about his upbringing that kind of thing was never stressed at all. you can see clearly too that Trump has trouble attending to a task or subject. Woodward's comments during and after each of the tapes is very helpful in putting Trump's comments in perspective. Trump does not have any meaningful relationship with truth. these tapes give a frightening look into the man who was president.

This wasn’t the plan. Judge Herman Calvert, 88, never thought he’d outlive his beloved wife, Marie. Yet now he finds himself alone, a grieving widower, desperate for escape from the home they built together, where every turn brings a painful reminder of his late wife. So the judge retreats to his lake cabin in rural Wisconsin, a place where an old man can find peace and solitude. A place where nature can take its course. But something new has moved in.

Riveting story
Revisado: 05-08-23
this is a very involved but fast-paced story. it actually goes into the origin of mankind and all sorts of information about the different hominid groups or human groups that actually existed before humans as we know ourselves now existed. it's obvious that riddle did a lot of research for this book. however I believe some of his facts are not accurate. that may be due to further discoveries that we have now that the author would not have had when the book was written. at any rate it's a fascinating story with plenty of Adventure involved. Mr Davies is a very good narrator. he is able to adjust his voice for different characters. he also narrates the story in sync with the fast pace of the story.

Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.

The Lovable curmudgeon
Revisado: 03-11-23
I truly enjoyed the story about a young man who grows up to become very reticent but with his heart in the right place. I don't know if I would want to be around such a person in reality. but one would certainly want to know him if they had a problem! I gave the story about four points because after the 5th example of his big heart the story gets to be a bit Pat. all in all though it's a very enjoyable heartwarming story.

It got boring
Revisado: 02-26-23
the human interest part of this story was more interesting than the mystery. the author seem to put more time and consideration into Tony and Jenny's Romance and her mother's reaction to it. the solution to the mystery was pretty plain long before the end of the story. it's nice to have a clue or two leading up to the solution of the mystery but it was hard to miss what was going on. I got a bit bored about 2/3 of the way through the story. Ms Gavin's performance of the narrative was quite good.

A Good Story..but .
Revisado: 02-21-23
Mercy is a very enjoyable story with a heartwarming ending. however the ending is very difficult to believe. Pine is supposed to be and experienced and outstanding FBI agent. we are supposed to believe that she would help a criminal of Specter stature just get away. unbelievable! I really liked Brittany Presley as a narrator but I but I felt Tiff Brewer did not vary his voice or Style enough to be different characters. overall it was a good experience but I can't give it an excellent grade or rating.

Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Very Interesting Facts
Revisado: 07-20-22
This is a collection of interesting facts concerning how influential events happen. Some stories are infirmative, while others are also funny. The material is will organized and then examples ate plentiful. The narrator moves at a fast pace. I could not finish this book in one session. I would suggest that the listener go to another book fir awhile intermittently and then return to this book. The reason is that a some of the stories are so similar, it gets monotonous.

Historia
Lady Merryweather has had a shocking year. Apprehended for the murder of her husband the year before, and only recently released, she hopes a trip away from London will allow her to grieve. The isolated, but much loved, Cragside Estate in North Northumberland, home of her friends, Lord and Lady Bradbury, holds special memories for her. But, no sooner has she arrived than the body of one of the guests is found on the estate, and suspicion immediately turns on her. Perhaps, there are no friendships to be found here, after all.

Too. Many Characters
Revisado: 05-19-22
The beginning of the story made me feel like I had come in on the middle of it. As the story went on, o course, we are introduced briefly to the characters. And Ms. Porter does find ways to summarize who is doing what at each stage of the story. But I cannot find myself really understanding. most if the people in the story or where the story is headed a lot of the time. I did not feel very involved in it.
The narrator did a bet good job with all the voices. She wad impressive.
