At this point these characters are a part of my life! picture me thinking this was going to be the last installment. Then BAM here I am waiting on the next one AGAIN! Ashley is truly amazing! She is indeed the Queen of IT! Whatever IT is. I'm so ready for (years from now) when Messiah has done the work and is the new Ethic and we're constantly checking in to see what's going on with his FAMILY!

Prison buddies Billy Good and Jackie Walker made time pulling small jobs here and there. Not a bad living if you liked scraping by. The thing to worry about was the next fix. Nothing else mattered. When Billy and Jackie fell in with Kenyatta, a ghetto lord ready to take back the streets, they thought they'd hit the big time. Dealing with drug pushers and crooked cops in the name of justice sure felt good, but in a world where "kindness was the sweetest con of all", every bullet fired echoed with the sound of payback.

Donald Goines deserves so much better!! To be such an amazing story teller... and what he is too urban lit, you'd think a little more effort world be put into selecting the reader. I was so excited to see one of my all time favs on audio, that I purchased without even listening to the sample. 😩 I'm so disappointed. Im not even through the first chapter and don't think I can get through it. Don't hurt your own feelings! I'm gonna return it. They should redo these SMH. I'll just read it again
