A fascinating history of the world’s most drunk liquid refreshments and the cultures that they shaped and are indicative of. No more Industrial Revolution, from now on it’s the age of tea!🫖 There’s a good bit of social history and anecdotal stories, but also a focus on empire and economy suitable to a writer for “The Economist.” It was never dull once.

Lewis provides thorough and enlightening understandings of each of the Greek words for “love” that will transform the way you understand how they work in your own life. I know of no better description of friendship than the one he offers here.
