Don't Waste Your Money On This Book!!!

Dr. Quantum? Really? Are you sure?

After about half an hour or 45 minutes of listening. I have to skip and fast forward so I can "finish" the book.
I'm not convinced Dr. Wolf knows his quantum. I'm no particle physicist, but I've read a few books on the subject. I have lots of "really? are you sure?" moment listening to this book. I'm starting to think this Dr. Wolf guy is bogus. Someone who is a real physicist please comment on the accuracy of this book.

A good read.

I've always like John Mauldin's point of view in his news letters. In this book, you get to hear some of the top minds in the industry talk about their ideas, real ideas that actually make sense. Many investment books out there are fill with nonsense get-rich-quick ideas, and this is not one of them. That alone is worth 4 stars.

Quantitative finance is not a good subject for audio presentation without some visual aid. Maybe a book form is much better.
I'm giving it 1 star because the reading is just unacceptable. There are no post processing at all. The reader will read a sentence, made some mistakes and reread it correctly, and the mistakes were not edited out. I count at least 20 of those mistakes. The reader is hard to understand and he didn't pronounce many of the words clearly.

I enjoyed the author's "Black Swan". "Fooled by Randomness" is equally good.
Survivorship bias has fooled me more than once in real life. Trading against Gaussian math practitioners has made me boatload of money. If you know something about the business of Quants or Wall Street traders, you may find it easier to follow the author's line of thought.
