I went into this book blind and it was a trip to say the least! Not my usual kind of book but I really enjoyed it. The writing was almost prose like and it was a love story- just with hints of madness.

Worst book from a great author

DNF. The story was written like a 5 year old wrote it. It was one of the worst books I’ve ever listened to. The narrator did a good job with the material but wow it just so bad.

Good story but not original

This story was the lesbian version of “The American President” which happens to be one of my favorite movies. I felt like the author ripped off most of her story line from the movie and changed little bits and pieces to make it more modern and lgbtq.
Overall I enjoyed to listen though and Abby Craden is amazing as usual.

Didn’t love the narrator. The story wasn’t very exciting either. I was expecting a slow burn and a bit more excitement. Disappointing.

Omg is all I can say. I almost always figure out the twist before the ending of a book but I did not see this one coming. Wow. It did jump from reality to fantastical but isn’t reading fiction supposed to take you out of your own normal!??
I’d recommend this book to any thrill seekers or plot twist readers!

If you could sum up Soulless in three words, what would they be?

Hilarious. Romantic. Suspenseful.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved Alexia's sense of humor. She was such a great character.

Which character – as performed by Emily Gray – was your favorite?

Definitely Alexia. Although all the characters were voiced perfectly.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I really just loved every bit of it. It wasn't very deep but it had enough guts to make it super enjoy.

Would you consider the audio edition of Taking Turns to be better than the print version?

I only listen to audio books so yes!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved all of them- I really felt like I got to know each one and even though the whole situation was a bit demeaning- it didn't feel wrong. They were all good guys.

What would have made The Devil's Dream better?

This was probably the worst narrator I have ever listened to. It wasn't so much the sound of her voice but how she read each line- like she didn't care at all mixed with sounding like she was a 6th grader.
The story had promise but I couldn't get over the narrator so I stopped after chapter 8.

Would you ever listen to anything by Stella Noir and Roxy Sinclaire again?

Possibly- but I would definitely read more reviews before spending a credit on one of their books again.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lacy Laurel?
